School Projects
Concept development
arts = hands skills
Our hands are capable to perform and function freely to generate all types of arts, therefore I was inspired by the hands physiological quality.
I chose to focus in very specific points of the muscles and joints that determines the movement and action of our hands, finding this spots potential layout for distribution, which shaped this project overall form.
Undergrad project
The biggest challenge was to handle the responsibility of a transforming an existing precarious social condition into a brand new urban scenario. The concept manifest a high use of public space with green landscapes, more efficient land use, modern low rise mixed use buildings, emanating from a fractal composition extracted from the essence of the existing turbulent urban grid.

Interior architecture design
The biggest challenge in this design experience was to adopt a very small space kitchen, dining room, in a multiple space without blocking the majestic view of the balcony, creating a more welcoming and adaptable for family weekends.
The choice and design of the furniture, light fixtures, tones and colors remained consistent to the tropical context with modern and contemporary look.
The client requested that the kitchen should be the center of attention based on his passion for food. My design solution came out to be all about a Lounge Space ,providing this way communal experience, merging the the dinning an kitchen to one single space.

Project description:
Residential design
Tatis Kewin family, wanted me to design a compact space for resting on long weekends after a stressful labor days, isolated from the city.
The result of the overall form of this two bedroom vacation villa , was derived by the gesture of orthogonal concrete shapes, shifting intentionally to integrate the exterior vegetation with the interior space. It allows the natural condition to infiltrate the inside space of the house.
This dialogue starts form the main entrance and garage where it reveals the exposure of the surroundings through series of exposed wood frame allowing a total transparency and transition to the solid concrete shell.

bonobos bar Owner :Pablo Mayoral
This was a challenging project because of the clients vision to create a bar on the second floor of an existing gift shop in the core of a popular tourist destination in the Dominican Republic. I came out with the idea of having the people floating on a tropical deck, providing a perfect view of the caribbean ocean. The vision was to engage the feeling of a floating boat, open space, a social interaction in a joyful environment.

` Warehouse retail renovation
Before
Musicarro Inc, has been a stablished company for more than 30 years selling auto parts and automotive accessories in Santo Domingo, Dominican Rep. This company is a traditional one of a kind retail stores, very common in this culture. It is one of the first to appear in the market in late 70’s.
As a family member and as a designer my mission was to renovate the old trademark and obsolete image for decades of popularity and give it a complete new vision of a contemporary identity more relevant to this century. The store is located in the main artery connector of the city, which had a more complex and challenge urban impact than a typical lot.
