The Elbphilharmonie will be a venue on the evening of 7 July 2017. The Hamburg police force will take security measures to ensure that the people in Hamburg are safe and the event runs smoothly from start to finish. Though we will try to cause as little disruption as possible to the residents some restrictions cannot be avoided. Restrictions in the Area around the Elbphilharmonie Security Zone We will activate the security zone around the Elbphilharmo- nie at about 6 am on 7 July 2017 by erecting what we call „Hamburg barriers“ (half-height metal barriers). The barriers will remain in place throughout the night from Friday to Sa- turday. In addition, police officers will be assigned to secure the site. Only residents, their visitors, business owners, trades per- sons or persons having a legitimate interest in entering the area (e.g. delivery services, nursing/medical care providers, postal services) will be allowed inside the secure zone. Ac- cess is possible through marked control points only. Persons having a legitimate interest must provide proof. The police will carry out identity checks and people wishing to enter the zone must be able to provide identification (identity card, etc.). If you do not have proper identification, a police officer will accompany you to your flat/destination. Children do not require ID. Road Closures/No-parking Zone Some roads will be closed; please refer to the security zone map overleaf for more information. A no-parking zone will be established prior to the start of the event. You will not be allowed to park there from about 6 pm on Thursday, 6 July 2017 through 6 am on Saturday, 8 July 2017. No vehicles/ bicycles are permitted to park in the security zone. Please remove them in time. Public Transport Service Restrictions Bus services 6 and 111 will not operate at all (from 7 July 2017 up until security zone 2 is de-activated). Harbour ferry service 72 will not serve the Elbphilharmonie stop (from 7 July 2017 up until security zone 2 is de-activated) and Arningstraße stop (from about 1 pm on 7 July 2017 up until security zone 2 is de-activated). The entry to and exit of the marina will be closed (from about 1 pm on 7 July 2017 up until security zone 2 is de-activated). Hamburg Hochbahn will plan and publish alternative services and/or diversions. The remaining public transport network around the Elbphil- harmonie will not be affected by the summit. Long-distance trains and flights to and from Hamburg airport will operate as scheduled.
