Poland’s national symbol is the White Eagle.

Although Poland is mostly flat, the peak of Rysy in the Tatra Mountains is the highest point in the country, at 2499m.

Polish people marry the youngest within the European Union.

Famous Polish people include Michael Marks, the co-founder of Marks & Spencer.

Poles have won a total of 17 Nobel prizes, including four Peace Prizes and five in Literature.
