See you there A CASE FOR SELF HELP. Our council is trying to be helpful. So at the recent meeting held at the Alton Downs Hall they were interested in our request for ideas for future development in the Alton Downs area. With a united front presented to the council we are more likely to achieve greater progress. On the 4'h May at the next Rate Payers meeting, we will TRY to work out some sort of logical progress. Basically we are concerned about Roads, Rubbish and Rates. One at a time may be good fishing. So come to the meeting if possible, or contact me (Peter Lawton) on 4934 1131 and I will try to put your case forward. Just one step at a time and who knows!

CHICKEN with BACON and EGG SALAD
4 chicken breast fi llets I tbsp oil 4 slices bread, crusts removed, cubed 2 rashers rindless bacon, chopped ~ iceberg lettuce, leaves torn 200g punnet grape tomatoes, halved 1 avocado, seeded, sliced 2 tbsp snipped chives 4 eggs, hard boiled METHOD

In a large frying pan, heat oil on medium. Saute bread and bacon 4-5 minutes until bread is golden. Drain on paper towel. Place chicken in same pan. Cook on medium heat, on both sides, until golden. In a bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and chives. Slice chicken breasts and add to salad. Top with halved eggs. Lastly add bread cubes and drizzle with Caesar salad dressing.
