Dear Emerald Eagles FC players and parents, Welcome to the 2016 football season! Our fees increased by only $5 this year, in order to provide for coaches gifts at the end of the season. We continue to charge a volunteer levy of $50.00 that will be reimbursed at the end of the season if players and/or parents do four (4) hours volunteer time over the season. Please see the attached page to indicate your Volunteer Level and return to the Canteen on Registration Day. Do not forget to register your time spent volunteering so it is easy to reimburse you at the end of the season! Time can be volunteered in any area of the club from coaching or assisting in the canteen through to helping with team management. Fees are structured so those who register and pay online will receive a price discount. If you can’t make it that night, you will still be able to show proof of registration on Tuesday 22 March at EEFC Clubhouse from 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Please ensure you follow the steps attached and complete a self registration BEFORE this date. As part of the registration, you will have an invoice emailed to you. Please print this out and bring to the registration day as proof of registration. You will also be able to make registration enquiries and purchase gear on the above dates. Welcome to the 2016 football season! Here’s some information you might find useful throughout the year:

ONLINE REGISTRATIONThe FFA uses an online registration method and it’s as simple following these directions:a) Go to the MyFootballClub website www.myfootballclub.com.aub) Click on “Register Now” and select “Player Registration” d) Follow the prompts to login pages, find your FFA number and/or reset your password to “Make a Registration” or “Register Now”c) Find the club name “Emerald Eagles Football Club”d) Select “Player”NB: If this is the first time you have registered to play football in Australia you will need to confirm whether you played in another countrye) Select the correct Registration Package. It is usually already selected for you, based on players’ date of birth. Do not register the player in an older age group. The Registrar is unable to change details once entered on the system.f) Click “Add” then click “Next” g) Read and acknowledge Terms and Conditions then click “Next” h) Click on “Pay Now” to pay online with a credit card (VISA or MasterCard), or select “manual Payment at Club” if you want to pay at our club information day. *Be aware it is cheaper to pay online*i) Answer the questions on the final page and click “Save All Answers” Make sure you have paid your fees and completed any necessary ID checks, etc. Please bring a copy of the registration and payment receipt to the canteen. If it’s your players’ first time, you will need to bring a Birth Certificate or other ID for proof of age to the canteen for witnessing.

A table of the 2016 fees can be found below and include a soccer ball for each player and a one-off $50 volunteer levy. We only ask for one payment per family so if you have more than one child, the club will reimburse you the extra levy fees taken online.

WHAT GEAR DO YOU NEED?All players must supply and wear shin pads, soccer boots, black shorts and black socks for games. Black Nike soccer socks for $12 a pair and Nike club shorts with the club logo for $25 can be purchased from the Canteen and other gear from Emerald Sportspower.Game day shirts are supplied by the Club. A soccer ball (size appropriate according to age) is supplied to every registered player. As always in this climate, don’t forget waterbottles and sunscreen!*We request players do not wear caps as the hard brims can cause injury*TRAINING - Squirts - Under 12 Tuesdays from 4.30 - 5.30pm Youth 5.30 - 6.30pm. First training day is Tuesday 12th April 2016.GAMES* - Saturdays from 2pm (depending on age groups, numbers etc) First game day is Saturday 16th April 2016.*Please note game times have changed from previous years.Season ends early September 2016.

VOLUNTEERSEach family has been charged a $50 volunteer levy that will be fully reimbursed at the end of the season if they have completed a minimum of four (4) hours of volunteer time for EEFC. This could be via managing teams, assisting the coach with training/games, working in the canteen, assisting the committee, assisting with field maintenance or attending working bees. We understand your time is valuable but without volunteers, we wouldn’t have a club. Please fill out the attached Volunteering in 2016 form and return to the Canteen.

COACHES AND SPONSORSHIPWe’re always looking for more of both! If you are interested in either sponsoring the club or coaching a team, please email [email protected] Training and support is available to all prospective coaches.

CANTEENOur canteen is literally the lifeblood of our club - and we have EFTPOS to make purchasing easier! Funds raised through our canteen keeps us going throughout the year. Please make sure you support the canteen by volunteering when you can. If unable to assist with serving on game days, you can bake goods to be sold at the canteen.

SPECTATOR BEHAVIOURAs a parent or guardian, you play an important role and set the tone for games at EEFC. Below is our Spectator Behaviour Policy:Our commitmentOur club is committed to providing a safe environment for participation. Aggressive, threatening or other inappropriate behaviour by members, their families, their friends, and other sporting personnel while attending a game or event will not be tolerated, including:• using bad language• harassing or ridiculing players, coaches, officials or other spectators• making racist, religious, sexist or other inappropriate comments to players, coaches, officials or other

spectators• any threatening behaviour or physical altercation between spectators and players, coaches, officials

or other spectators• putting undue pressure on children, berating them or putting down their performance• drinking at a game or training or being drunk at a club event.
