in LittleAndaman on occasionof 125th BirthAnniversary ofFreedom
Fighter NetajiSubhash Chandra Bosetoday. As part of theoccasion,
all thebeaches of LittleAndaman were cleanedwhich includedHarminder
Bay,Chattan Beach, Jettyarea, Fish LandingCentre area, 6 km to 7km
beach, Kalapathar
Mass beach cleaning drive organized at Little Andaman More than
7000 kgs of plastic, glass bottles & othergarbage collected and
sent for further processing
and Butler Bay. Apartfrom this, shoulder areaof Little
AndamanTrunk Road (LATR) wasalso cleaned during thisdrive. Around
600 people
including PRIs, Govt.Employees, youth andgeneral
publicparticipated extensivelyin this campaign andcontributed
theirvaluable time to make
this drive a grandsuccess. This cleanliness drivewas organized
underthe overall supervisionof Shri Lakshay Singhal,IAS (P),
presentlyholding the charge ofTehsildar, LittleAndaman. More than
7tons (7000 kgs) of plastic,glass bottles and othergarbages were

Port Blair, Jan. 23 PMEGP scheme aims to produceemployment
opportunities in both urbanand rural areas in India through
theestablishment of new self-employmentprojects, micro-enterprises
and ventures.The scheme acted as catalyst of changefor many young
people who dream ofbeing financially independent throughself
employment venture. One suchperson is Shri B.Sivaraman, who
hadfaced a lot of struggle before starting his
Subsidy oriented Govt. sponsored scheme ofPMEGP enabled young
man to earn livelihood
self employment venture. He was only 23, when he landed in these
Islandsin search of a livelihood. He started working as a sales
assistant in a generalsales outlet here at Port Blair. With no
knowledge on how to avail any financialassistance for setting up a
venture, he got stagnated working below hisemployer. Gradually, he
started learning how to ply an auto rickshaw and receivedhis
Driving license and NOC from the Transport

40 sacks of plastic wastes collected and handed over to PBMC
staff of IP&T collected 40 sacks of plastic wastes and other
debris from theIsland which were segregated and transported to
Junglighat Jetty. Thereafter,the collected wastes were handed over
to PBMC staff for further processing.The team was led by Senior

from Aberdeen Jetty (RGWSC) to varioustourist spot will be diverted

shall bepermitted on 25th & 28th upto 1600 hrs and thereafter,
normal operationwill be restored from 30.01.2021. All owners of Jet
Ski have also been directed to park their Jet Skis at
theirdesignated place on the above mentioned date and time, as no
water sportsactivity will be permitted from RGWSC as per schedule
