•Describe Plotting•Demonstrate the procedure in plotting the drawing.•Appreciate the importance of editing and previewing the drawing before plotting.

• "Plotting" is also called "Printing" because you can print to both large-format plotters as well as small printers just like any other windows operation to produce hard-copy output.•AutoCAD uses standard Windows
printer drivers to control plotters and printers, but

1. Open the File menu Page-setup Manager.

2. In the Page-setup Manager, choose the Modify command.

• Page setups are associated with layouts and stored in the drawing file. The settings specified in a page setup determine the appearance and format of your final output.

3. Choose monochrome in the Plot style table then printer name. Uncheck the Fit to paper check box and set the scale to mm then type 0.1 for the units.

4. The message box will appear prompting you to assign the plot style, click YES.

5. Choose Window from the Plot Area drop down button.

6. Highlight the entire drawing to determine what will be included in the plot

7. Click Preview to see the drawing.

8. Check the accuracy of the output.

9. Click the OK button if the editing is done.

10. Click the Close button to exit the Page Setup Manager.

13. In the Plot Mode dialog box, choose the printer name and the Preview button.
