Pledging 2020
Knowledge Unlatched
WelcomeDear KU supporters around the world,
Welcome to the overview of our 7th pledging round! We are very excited to share the latest news of our growing marketplace of Open Access initiatives. This year, 15 partners, new and established, are inviting you to join the international community of over 650 libraries around the world in pledging your support. Open Access is still constantly developing and changing. For our 2020 collections, we have listened to your feedback and made some changes to our models: You will find all projects presented within nine subject disciplines and Open Infrastructures. We hope very much that this will align better with the inter-nal processes within your library.
And we are particularly happy to announce KU’s geographic expansion. Through our own colleagues and vendor partners, Knowledge Unlatched now also covers Asia and Africa, two continents particularly important to our mission of making Open Access easy and global.
There is no doubt that times are currently uncertain. But if there is one crucial element which togeth-er we can work towards, it is ensuring barrier-free access to scholarly content. Open Access remains the key innovation which supports easy access to critical scholarship around the world, independent of where you are und who you are. Thank you for supporting our common cause through Knowledge Unlatched!
YoursAlexandra, Amir, Bob, Catherine, Elaine, Max, Mirela, Nina, Pablo, Philipp, Wilson, and Sven
PS: As always if you have a special question or concern, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me directly: [email protected].
