Eligibility Requirements Proof of eligibility must be available for review, by the SEAAU Tournament Director at any time during the
tournament.
If the documents are not available the team is subject to removal from the competition.
An athlete must have a certificate of live birth with a raised seal plus a school report card for a Grade Based team.
And one of the following:
An unexpired Passport
Valid Driver’s License
Department of Motor Vehicles I.D. card issued within three (3) years
Military Dependent I.D.
Age Based Tournaments
8 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 8 on August 31, 2016
9 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2016
10 &Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2016
11 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2016
12 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2016
13 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2016
14 & Under Division
An athlete can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2016
15U/9th Grade Division
An athlete can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2016.
Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 16 on August 31,
2015 is eligible to play in the 15U/9th grade division.
16U/10th Grade Division
An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2015.
Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 17 on August 31,
2015 is eligible to play in the 16U/10th grade division.
17U/11th Grade Division
An athlete can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2015.
Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 18 on August 31,
2015 is eligible to play in the 17U/11th grade division.
19U/12th Grade Division
An athlete can be no older than 19 on August 31, 2015.
Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 12th grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 20 on August 31,
2015 is eligible to play in the 19U/12th grade division.
Grade Based Tournaments Requirements
5th Grade – An athlete must be in the 5th grade as of October 1, 2015 and can be no older than 12 on August 31,
2016
6th Grade – An athlete must be in the 6th grade as of October 1, 2015 and can be no older than 13 on August 31,
2016
7th Grade – An athlete must be in the 7th grade as of October 1, 2015 and can be no older than 14 on August 31,
2016
8th Grade – An athlete must be in the 8th grade as of October 1, 2015 and can be no older than 15 on August 31,
2016

2015 AAU Memberships AAU membership is required of all teams, clubs, athletes and non-athletes to participate in AAU events.
You can register for AAU membership (individual and club) on the Internet at www.aausports.org.
Each athlete and each non-athlete (including all non-players seated on the bench) must be registered for
membership in the AAU. The fee is $14.00 per athlete for standard membership or $16.00 per
athlete for Added Benefit membership. The fee is $16.00 for non-athletes for standard
membership or $18.00 for non-athletes for Added Benefit membership. Membership in the AAU
program includes accident and liability insurance for sanctioned AAU events and practices when all
persons are properly registered. The Added Benefits (AB) membership extends coverage to the team,
club, and individual members during non-sanctioned AAU events when all persons are properly registered.

SEAAU Boys’ Basketball 2015 District Rule Reminders A TN team may have a maximum of three players on its roster from the state of AL during the TN Sub
State or State Tournament; and these players and the team must participate in the TN Tournament. An
AL team may have a maximum of three players on its roster from the state of TN during the AL Sub
State or State Tournament; and these players and team must participate in the AL Tournament. The
three players included in this rule cannot play in both the TN and the AL Tournament; they can only
participate in one qualifying tournament. (These players do not count as cross boundary players as they
