POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE

Map - ThePCVhastheabilitytohold2differentbasemaps.YoucanswitchontheflybetweenthesetwobasemapswhenyouhookupaswitchtotheMAPinputs.Youcanuseanyopen/closetypeswitch.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.WhenusingtheAutotunekitonepositionwillholdabasemapandtheotherpositionwillletyouactivatethelearningmode.Whentheswitchis“CLOSED”Autotunewillbeactivated.

Shifter- TheseinputsareforusewiththeDynojetquickshifter.InsertthewiresfromtheDynojetquickshifterintotheSHIFTERinputs.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.

Speed- Ifyourapplicationhasaspeedsensorthenyoucantapintothesignalsideofthesensorandrunawireintothisinput.ThiswillallowyoutocalculategearpositionintheControlCenterSoftware.Oncegearpositionissetupyoucanalteryourmapbasedongearpositionandsetupgeardependentkilltimeswhenusingaquickshifter.

Analog- Thisinputisfora0-5vsignalsuchasenginetemp,boost,etc.Oncethisinputisestablishedyoucanalteryourfuelcurvebasedonthisinputinthecontrolcentersoftware.

Crank- DoNOTconnectanythingtothisportunlessinstructedtodosobyDynojet.Itisusedtotransfercranktriggerdatafromonemoduletoanother.

Launch Thisinputisintendedtobeusedasalaunchcontrol.YoucansetatargetRPMtolimitthebiketowhentheclutchleverisactivated.OncetheclutchleverisreleasedfullRPMcanbeachieved.Thisrequiresawirebeconnectedtothegroundingsideoftheclutchswitchandtheotherendintothisinput.

ACCESSORY INPUTS

Wire connections:

ToinputwiresintothePCVfirstremovetherubberplugonthebacksideoftheunitandloosenthescrewforthecorrespondinginput.Usinga22-24gaugewirestripabout10mmfromitsend.PushthewireintotheholeofthePCVuntilisstopsandthentightenthescrew.Makesuretoreinstalltherubberplug.

NOTE:Ifyoutinthewireswithsolderitwillmakeinsertingthemeasier.

1 Removetheseat,bothsidefairingsandchinfairing.

2 Propthefueltankup.

3 LaythePCVinthetailandroutethePCVharnessalongtheframeontherightsideuptowardsthefrontoftheengine(Fig.A).

For a clean installation remove the right side fuel tank mounting bolt and route the PCV harness to the inside of the frame.

4 LocatetherearIgnitioncoilandunplugthestockwiringharnessfromthecoil(Fig.B).

Rotate the coil stick 180 degrees so the connection is pointing to the right side of the motorcycle.

5 PlugtheconnectorsfromthePCVwiththeBLUEwiresin-lineofthestockignitioncoilandstockwiringharness(Fig.C).

6 Locatethesubconnectorfromthethrottlebodiesontherightsideofthemotorcycle.Unplugthisconnector.

This is a GREY 16 pin connector located near the oil tank (Fig. D).

This is a WHITE 2 pin connector.

12 PlugthePCVharnessin-lineoftheCPSandstockwiringharness.Makesuretheharnessissecuredawayfromtheexhaust.

13 UnplugthestockFrontO2sensorfromthemainwiringharness(Fig.H).

This is a BLACK 4 pin connector located on the left side of the motorcycle under the chin fairing.

14 PlugoneoftheDynojetO2Optimizersintothestockwiringharness(Fig.I)

The stock O2 sensor will no longer be connected to anything.Optimizer

15 UnplugtheRearO2sensorfromthemainwiringharness(Fig.J).

This connection is located on the right side of the motorcycle between the air box and frame tube. You may need to cut the zip tie to get good access to the connector.
