The use of standard statistical classification systems will ensure harmonization and comparability of government statistics generated through surveys as well as administrative based reporting systems at the national and local level. It will facilitate the generation of provincial product accounts which will be of great help to local government units (LGUs) in finding out their growth potentials, comparative advantages and areas which they can work on to improve business environment in the localities and increase their competitiveness.
