How to Play
Roulette
The Game of Roulette Casinos have long been associated with glamour,
excitement, wealth and anticipation. One of the most iconic casino games around has to be Roulette
Even if you have never set foot in a Casino, It is likely that you have seen Roulette being played somewhere before
There are two different Roulette games; European Roulette and American Roulette
In the American version, there is an additional pocket;
the ‘00’ or ‘Double Zero’ , which increases the house advantage. It is therefore always advisable to play at on a European Roulette wheel
Roulette: a Game of Chance Roulette is a game of chance. There is no formula that
can be learnt in order to help you win However, there are betting strategies that can help you
spread your bet and improve your chances of staying in the game
Each Roulette wheel is handmade, meaning there may be a slight bias caused by the way the wood has been formed
Some people dedicate endless hours to studying a
particular Roulette Wheel to work out its bias, in an attempt to gain the upper hand
Roulette: a Game of Chance But, if you are playing at different Roulette Wheels or
playing through an online casino game, then Roulette remains a game of chance
Equally, some people spend time observing the person who spins the Roulette wheel. If they have been working at the wheel for a long time, they may have an automatic spin technique
If they are exerting the same force each time they spin
the wheel, it can create a bias Again, this is not an option for many players, so it is
again down to chance
Placing a Bet in Roulette Before playing Roulette, it can be interesting to watch
other players to get a feel for the game Having said this, do not waste time remembering the
colours or numbers that have previously won. Each spin of the wheel is unique; it is not influenced by what has gone before
If you have seen the ball land in six blacks in a row,
you may feel that the odds favour a red on the next round. In reality, it remains a 50:50 after every spin
When you are ready to play Roulette, the first step is to place your bet on the Roulette Table
Placing a Bet in Roulette Do not be tempted to put all of your money on one
number (an inside bet)
Whilst this will deliver the best returns should you win, the chances of you winning are very slim. This is the quickest way to lose your money
Your best option is an outside bet, or a combination of bets
An outside bet is a gamble on a large number of
numbers. For example, an outside bet can be placed on Red or Black, Odd or Evens, or a column of numbers
The odds for an outside bet may be lower, but you are
more likely to win the game
Simply Roulette Strategy One betting technique for increasing your chances of
winning a Roulette game is the Simple Strategy It can be applied without a big budget, making it ideal
for those who are new to the game This strategy involves selecting two numbers from the
middle column; one red, one black and placing a £1 bet on each. You then also place a bet on each corner of the two numbers selected
With this technique, you cover 18 numbers (50% of
the wheel) so there is a fair chance that one of your numbers will come up. However, your pay back will also be lower
