We review the updated results of this novel treatment that was administered at our centre according to an established protocol. Method 267 patients suffering from organic Erectile Dysfunction due to various co-morbidities received PRP intra-cavernosal injections according to an established protocol by the American cellular medicine association. Patients filled in the international index of erectile function IIEF5 Questionnaire before and at least 4 weeks after treatment. GAQ question (do you think the treatment you received improved your erection hardness?) and SEP3 question (were you able to achieve a successful intercourse?) were also assessed post treatment. Any reported adverse events were recorded. • TRU PRP Obtained using an automatic dual spin Magellan Arteriocyte platelet separator • The PRP had at least 4-5 times the concentration of baseline platelet count (in order to be effective) • Patients with Psychogenic or Neurogenic causes were excluded from the study • Patients with grade 1 (very weak) erections, or premature ejaculation were also excluded • Introduction Erectile Dysfunction ED is in most cases due to corporeal dysfunction. This can result from various risk factors including aging, diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, trauma or smoking among others, which can lead to corporeal smooth muscle dysfunction and or arterial insufficiency. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been extensively used in various fields of medicine and surgery to rejuvenate and accelerate tissue healing. Mean follow up 11 weeks (4-59) 6 weeks medianThe mean IIEF-5 score for all patients, before treatment was 12.5 (5-20) and Post treatment IIEF-5 = 17 (5-24), p <0.001. 54 out of 61 patients (88.5%) reported improvement in their erection hardness (GAQ). 48 patients (78%) achieved a successful intercourse (SEP 3). • The mean IIEF5 increase for those who expressed improvement was 5.2 points (from 12.5 to 17.7) P<0.001 • Median 4, Range 0-13 • Results seem to be appreciated about 3-4 weeks post treatment No correlation was found between age and response to treatment, mean age of responders 41(22-80) and mean age of non responders 53(36-66).
