Please see information concerning “Special Versions.” - Industrial Ventilation OEM equipment applications PLATE MOUNTED AXIAL FLOW FANS COMPACT Series type HCFB-HCFT (Plastic impellers) and HCBB-HCBT (Aluminium impellers) Description The S&P Compact Plate Mounted Axial Fans feature, as the name suggests, an extremely compact design created by the combination of an internal rotor motor with factory matched direct drive wrap around impeller hub. This very low profile design optimises airflow performance whilst minimising noise genera- tion. The Compact Plate Mounted Axial Fan series require an absolute minimum depth for any given wall, ceiling or panel mounted installation. Designed to be installed directly into walls, ceilings or panels, the Compact Plate Mounted Axial Fan series are suitable for use within a wide range of residential, com- mercial and industrial ventilation applications. All COMPACT Plate Mounted Axial Fans include a one piece bell mouth inlet and mounting plate manufactured from high grade galvanised steel. The motor and fan impeller are firmly supported within this mounting plate by a strong electrowelded steel support frame. All models up to and including size 710, include a steel finger proof guard as standard mounted to the inlet side of the fan. This whole assembly is protected by a two stage cataforesis primer and tough black polyester paint finish. This particular coating has been evaluated as being suitable for Outdoor Equipment usage, by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc (USA). All models are supplied with a pre-wired wiring junction box located on the back of the motor hub for easy wiring access. This wiring junction box protects all wiring connections against the ingress of dust and moisture. IP65 Rated*. All standard Compact Plate Mounted Axial Fans are supplied in Form (A) configuration. Airflow over Motor – Impeller. Motors All Compact Plate Mounted Axial fans incor- porate asynchronous induction motors with a squirrel cage rotor. All motors are manufactu- red in accordance with UNE-113 and CEI-34- 1 standards. The motor casings are construc- ted from die cast aluminium with integrated cooling fins and finished with a tough (black) weatherproof polyester paint. As standard, the Compact Plate Mounted Axial fans incorporate the following motor specifications: – IP65 (IP55 for models 2-315, 2-355, 800 & 1000). – Class F Insulation (-40 ºC to +70 ºC working temperatures). – Suitable for usage in environments up to 95% RH. – Speed Controllable (except 2 pole models, /4-630, 710, 800 & 1000 and explosion proof versions). – Three Phase models can be supplied to special order for use with frequency inver- ters speed controllers. Please enquire. – PG-11 cable glands on terminal boxes. – Thermal protection Motors can be supplied suitable for the follo- wing electrical supplies: – Single Phase 230V 50 Hz. – Three Phase 230/400V 50 Hz. – Three Phase 400V 50Hz.
