Leo Hendrik Beaklend ,a Belgium chemist invented the first synthetic plastic which was known as bakelite.

Advantages of plastic They are light in weight . They are strong.They are cheap.They do not rust.They do not allow electricity to pass throw them.Durable ,can live for hundred’ s of years.They can be heated or molded into any shape or size to make a variety of things.They can be reused.

Disadvantages of plastic

They are non – biodegradable .

If it is burn the gas that it releases is very harmful for us and environment and also depletes the ozone layer.

Most of the plastic is made of oil.

They can not be recycled.

They create land polution.

Pacific Ocean or Plastic Ocean

Most of the waste plastic is accumulated in the Pacific ocean , causing danger to marine life.Turtles and other animals eat plastic because when water goes inside plastic it looks like’s jelly fish and think that it is jelly fish and choke to death.
