Plants

Any living thing that is not an animal is a plant.

Plants usually are green, have roots, stems, leaves, and flowers.

There are a few plants that don’t. Some of them are ferns, mosses, conifers, and fungi.

MossMoss

They are small green plants that sometimes spread like mats over damp grounds.

They have no real roots, stems, or leaves.

The whole plant is able to soak up water not just the roots.

Fungi

Fungi are not green like most other plants and the have no stems, roots, or leaves.

The main part of fungus is the network of threads under the ground.

These threads bring in food and water to the rest of the plants.
