A reunion is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates, reminisce about your days at university and hear about what’s happening at UQ now – and in the future. The format of your reunion can vary from a small lunch to a large evening function, depending on what you believe your Class will enjoy most. You may also decide to set up a committee with some of your classmates and share the workload. The following guide will help make your next reunion a memorable and enjoyable event. We look forward to working with you and celebrating your time on campus. CONTACT YOUR CLASSMATES & UQ STAFF We can help you develop your invitation list from our alumni database, and post or email your invitation to as many of your classmates and past/current staff members as possible. SECURE A VENUE ON CAMPUS We can help you find a venue on campus – please contact us for all of the available options. Alternatively, we can recommend external venues. Optional tours of the Faculty can also be arranged as part of your reunion. ADVERTISE YOUR REUNION We are happy to advertise your reunion on our website and/or in one of our other alumni publications, ingenuity magazine and insight e-newsletter. Post event, we will also develop an online album of your photos on our Flickr webpages. MARKETING MATERIALS/AV SET UP We can provide a Faculty banner and other appropriate materials for your guests to enjoy at the event. We are also able to support your AV requirements on the day – please notify us well in advance if you will require a laptop/projector or other technological equipment. EVENT FOLLOW UP We can send a follow up email to your guests thanking them for attending and with a link to the event photographs. FACILITATE A CLASS GIFT You may decide to commemorate your reunion by developing a Class Gift. Not only does such support have an important impact at the Faculty, it also shows important philanthropic leadership that inspires others to do the same. What the Class supports is really down to you – what would resonate with your classmates? What are you passionate about? How would you like to honour the Class’s reunion?
