Prospect House is the private dining club serving the faculty and staff of Princeton University. Formerly the official residence of the University President from 1879 to 1968, Prospect House combines the elegance of a 19th-century Italianate Victorian mansion with the versatility and services of a fine dining facility.
Built in 1823, Palmer House was originally owned by Commodore Robert Stockton, grandson of the signer of the Declaration of Independence. It was bequeathed to Princeton University in 1968 by Mrs. Zilph Palmer, widow of Edgar Palmer, the Princeton alumnus and benefactor of Palmer Stadium and Palmer Square.
Prospect House and Palmer House are committed to providing an unparalleled level of service and cuisine. As stated by one of our brides:
“Just want you to know that we thought that our wedding reception, thanks to you and the staff at Prospect House, was wonderful. The food and its presentation were superb. It is a night we will never forget and everything we could have hoped for.”
