A long walk in the evening, or perhaps one in the morning to work up an appetite for breakfast; HNLU has it all! SHANTINAGAR Just a short walk of about 10 minutes from campus, Shantinagar is the go to place for all HNLU students. The walk along the lake, especially during sunset and sunrise is absolutely enthralling. If you fancy yummy momos, samosas, ‘Fried maggi’ or a hot cup of chai, Chhotu Bhaiya’s shop in Shantinagar will be your saviour. Make sure you make at least one trip to Shanti on your visit to HNLU. MUKTANGAN A blissful garden that gives all visitors a glimpse of Chhattisgarh, Muktangan is a museum developed by the government of Chhattisgarh. It is spread over 8 acres exhibiting Natural Resources with existing infrastructures, industries, places of tourists attraction, the habitat, artefacts, folk dances, food habits of the Tribals.

place for all HNLU students. The

JUNGLE SAFARI
Soon to begin, the Jungle Safari in Naya
Raipur aims to showcase the diversity of

proposed project inaugurated recently,
attempts to complement and strengthen
the flora and fauna of the state.

About 20 minutes from Campus,
awesome like as its name suggests
is truly awesome! Go with a group
of your friends and enjoy the
tranquillity that the lake offers with
beautiful birds in the background.

CHITRAKOTE

The broadest waterfalls in India,
Chitrakote often referred to as the
‘Niagara of India’ attracts tourists from
all over the world. The water of the
river flows through the dense vegetation
and cascades from a height of about 95
feet. It is about 250KM from Raipur
and is road and rail connected.
CHAMPARANYA

Champaranya, located about 80KM from
Raipur is regarded as a pilgrimage site and
features a beautiful temple of Lord Shiv.
Champaranya is easily accessible by road
and bus from Raipur City.
BHORAMDEO and TALA
134KM from the Capital, Bhoramdeo often
referred to as the ‘Kajuraho of Chattisgarh’ is
an exquisite temple with intricate rock
carvings. Tala, about 85KM from Raipur also
has stupendous rock carvings that will surely
please the mind and sight of the curious and
artistic.
MADKUDWEEP
Madkudweep is a beautiful island marked
by gorgeous waterfalls. Ruins of ancient
art transport you to an era long gone
through their sheer beauty and splendour.
It is about 84KM from Raipur City and is
easily accessible through road and rail.
GANGREL DAM
Gangrel dam is a must visit for all scenic
nature lovers with the area around the
dam forming a picturesque of lush green
flora and fauna. It is both rail and road
connected from Raipur.
DONGARGARH
Dongargarh remains one of the most famous
and popular tourist destinations of
Chattisgarh. It features the divine temple of
‘ChottiBambleshwari’ and attracts tourists
from all over the country. It is about 100KM
from Raipur and is connected by road and
rail networks.
KANGER VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Though at 300KM away from Raipur, it is a
place one must visit at least once in their
lifetime. Not only does it showcase the
Tirathgarh Waterfall, it also gives you the
chance to observe wildlife at close quarters
and spend time in the scenic beauty of
mountains in the background. It is
connected by road and rail from Raipur.
BARNWAPRA SANCTURY
At 85KM from Raipur, Barnawapra
Wildlife Sanctuary has a number of tiny
hillocks and forested area that sees
flourishing wildlife. The tributaries of the
River Mahanadi and the River Balmedhi
pass through this incredible Sanctuary
making it a must visit place.
BASTAR
264KM from Raipur, Bastar is a wonderful
Tribal area where the nature meets the
individual. Amongst handicrafts and music,
one can also choose between a plethora of
options like nature hikes, national parks,
rivers and religious sites.
