137 * Abstract: Allama Muhammad Iqbal is a great poet. He is considered to be the poet of Millah Al- Islamia. Iqbal has absorbed many dimensions belonging to the different cultures, Philosophies and Ideologies, prevailing on the different societies of the world. He has also taken very important theoretical aspects of the ancient Arabic and Persian historical ages. It is considered that the Jahaliya Poetry of Arabic Language has a great influence in shaping the poetical aspect found in Urdu and Persian poetry of Iqbal. The most of studies have been done about the theological contents of his poetry. One aspect was always found missing in Iqbal's poetry that was about the poetical techniques of Arabic poetry on Iqbal. In respect of its techniques in the light of modern and ancient poetry the study made in the article is around the poetical techniques of Iqbal in his different poetical works. It is being presented for the consulting of the scholars who are interested to study the relationship between Iqbal and Arabic poetry. We has discussed in this article, the poetical techniques and meters etc to prove that the Arabic poetry have a great influence on Iqbal. The theological, theoretical and technical side has aspired the said poet very much. *
