Business Mentor in place to provide initial ideas generation, information,

advice and guidance for PJEA established businesses:

• provide Mentoring and Start up Support Services

• support new Businesses through managed services

• support in taking their business to the position where they are sustainable

within their own resources

• support new Businesses to move on (sustainable growth)

• ERDF funding essential

Currently, using net315 funding, all the above across the

College, plus:

• contribute to staffing of our Enterprise Gateways

2010/11:

• Thirty-two students completed

• ~70% to HE

• eight young people continuing to run businesses set up on the course.

• Others to full time employment, gone onto other studies or relocated abroad

2011/12: Over 60 enrolments

• BTEC Diploma Level 2 - one year course ‘UNDERSTANDING ENTERPRISE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP’ – 13

learners

• BTEC Diploma Level 3 - one year course ‘ENTERPRISE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP’ – 27 learners

• BTEC Diploma Level 3 - two year course ‘ENTERPRISE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP’ including a Subsidiary
