Why market the library to teachers?
o Teachers have preconceived ideas of what the library can do for them
o Teachers claim that they have no time
o A strong collaboration between librarians and teachers is needed to create a solid learning environment
Goals of the project
o Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the school library
o Determine if the teachers are satisfied with the resources that the library offer them
o Find out if the library resources support the curriculum
o Develop materials that will market the library products and services to teachers
Project Process
o Review of Related Literature
o Seek approval from the principal to conduct a survey to teachers
o SWOT Analysis
o Drafting, administering and analysis of survey
o Recommendation to the librarian and school administration
o Creating a virtual library for teachers
