    It isnt even possible that this is December 2012.but I guess it is. I hope you are all ready for

    the holidays as best as you can be. If not, please be patient out there in the crowds of ciaos.

    I am excited about our upcoming Raleigh Association of Insurance Professionals ChristmasParty, this Monday evening, 12/10/12 at 18 Seaboard. Please come and join us for the fun and

    fellowship. We will be exchanging gifts (dirty Santa style) w/a cost of $10.00 or less.

    If you dont make it to the Christmas Party, we will surely miss you and I want to personally

    wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please dont forget the true

    meaning of Christmas and why we are all on this earth!

    Operation E.D.I.T.H.Its that time of year again and supplies are in. If you are not familiar with thisprogram, it is Exit Drill In The Home. This is a Fire Safety project with materials foryoung children to educate them on a safe way to exit their home if a fire emergency ishappening. Let me know how many you would like. I have approximately 250 left todistribute.

    MINUTES OF THERALEIGH ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS

    November 13, 2012

    The meeting was called to order by President Janet Davis at 6:00 PM. President Daviswelcomed everyone to our November meeting of Raleigh Association of InsuranceProfessionals.

    Members present: President Janet Davis, Katy Willett, Beth Blackwell, Jeanne Hess,

    Wanda Manning, and Debbie Pass Soles.

    I CAN class was coordinated and presented by Katie Willett. Excellent job on thepresentation.

    President Davis asked if there were any changes to the minutes. No changes. WandaManning made a motion to accept the minutes as presented and Jeanne Hess secondedthe motion with all attendees in favor.President Davis continued the meeting by asking for committee reports;

    ProgramsBeth Blackwell, Program Chairperson - We discussed the following program options.President Davis presented booklets on Thats My Pan and Thirty-One.

    December 10 - Christmas Party at 18 Seaboard to include Secret Santa gift exchange.Date was revised due to room availability. Entertainment was discussed and RaleighBoys Choir was recommended.

    January 8 Physical Therapist (Barbara is coordinating)

    February 12 Joint meeting with DAIW and NCAIW Presidents visit. Possible ValentinesBasket to raffle.

    ParliamentarianWanda Manning, Program Chairperson convention was discussed. Janet to attachconvention report with minutes.

    Membership

    Jeanne Hess one new member, Lisa Bailey, to report. Jeanne asking for volunteers tohelp with retention of membership. Several members volunteered to communicate withmembers as an ongoing project. Jeanne will be sending an updated membership list toall members.

    New BusinessWreaths were brought in and the members discussed where to deliver the wreaths andwho would deliver. Katy Willet & Janet Davis volunteered to deliver the wreaths to localnursing homes. They will report on this at the December meeting.

    Region II convention Raleigh in charge of table decorations. More to come.

    National in Florida in 2013 (06/06-08/2013) Wanda is getting a condo if anyone isinterested in accommodations; please contact Wanda.

    Pam Grimes is involved with Survivor Sunday on 03/03/2013. Members have beenasked to support Pam. Pam will send us information.

    Membership discussed fund raising ides:Rada Knives (ongoing) / Pecans or Peanuts (1st order was delivered) / Thats MyPan catalogs distributed / Thirty-One (25% profit from orders) catalogs distributed

    Annual Convention for theNC Association of Insurance Professionals

    October 25th 27th, 2012

    The NC Insurance Commissioner, Wayne Goodwin came and spoke w/us concerninginsurance matters at hand. NCDOI has prepared consumer packets and a website tohelp out in disaster events, such as hurricanes, floods, etc. This gives great informationbefore, during and after the events.     CWC Competition was exciting w/Judy Hancock and Teresa Fannin as our contestants.Of course, our own member Teresa Fannin one State Competition and will move on to

    represent NC at Regional in March. Congratulations Teresa!

    Haley Everett w/Jackson Sumner & Associates did a presentation w/ideas on how torecruit young new professionals. At this time, there are 139 men in the association andthat number is growing. Let your passion for the organization shine and share yourstories etc w/those around you and those you meet. Invite, invite, invite!!!!!

    'This is the 21st century,' he said. 'We don't waste money on newspapers.Here, you can use my iPad.'
