Possible drama WorkshopAl Aki, professional actor and model and PCUMC member, has offered to teach a Drama workshop on a Tuesday night(s) in June or July. Before we plan for the workshop, we first need to know if there is anyone interested in attending this workshop. With enough interest we could offer a workshop on a quarterly basis. The workshop would cover topics such as Character Development Memorization Developing a Stage Presence

These workshops would be beneficial for Anyone interested performance arts

(not just drama) Anyone seem on the platform. This

could include choir and band members and those teaching, preaching, making announcements, and giving their testimonies

Anyone--adults and youth--involved with the children’s ministry and seen on the Kids’ Church stage

Anyone interested in acting at church, at their school, or professionally

Benefits of the Workshops: Building confidence in front of an

audience and improving stage presence

Helping with memorization of script lines, music lyrics, sermon and teaching material, scripture, etc.

Learning in a fun group settingWe’ve had great success with Al’s previous workshops. They are both helpful and very fun. Please reply to Michelle Taylor at [email protected] if you are interested in attending any future workshops.

Re-Nutrition Center, Missionary ventures, Matagalpa, NicaraguaThe Missionary Ventures International Re-Nutrition Center is located in the heart of the poorest area of central Nicaragua. The combination of the civil war, hurricanes and drought has left these people desolate, and many children are now dying of starvation, malnutrition and related diseases. This center cares for over thirty children at a time. These children are in the final stages of dying. Its purpose is to restore these children back to health, reach out to these impoverished families and bring the good news of Jesus to the poorest people of Central America.Prayer Requests: Pray for Brenda Rose, Missionary Ventures Field Coordinator, who

administers the operation of the Matagalpa Renutrition Center in Nicaragua. Pray for her safety and health.

Pray for the patients of the center. Pray that their heath will be revitalized and that they understand that God’s healing hands are upon them.

Pray that children and adults alike will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior through association with the center.

Sermon: “Always at Home”

11

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths

of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
