• How to find the best and safest route from place 'A' to place 'B' (through maps and charts, calculation of time and distance)
Air Navigation
• Basics of atmosphere, weather and reporting of weather (study factors like winds, clouds etc. which have effect on aviation and learn to interpret weather)
Meteorology
• Study of aerodynamics, systems (including electrical, hydraulic, fuel etc), parts of aircraft and engines
Air Frames & Engines
• Deals with the law, rules and standard procedures laid down by national regulatory (DGCA in India)Air Regulations
Eligibility
• Min 55% in Math & Physics
• English in Class XII
• Min age: 17 years• National Institute
of Open Schooling results accepted
• 6/6 correctible eyesight with normal colour vision
Entrance Exam
• For some institutes, there is a written exam, a pilot aptitude test and an interview
Test Contents
• Written exam: English, Maths, Physics (10+2 level), Reasoning and GK
• Pilot Aptitude Test: held on the computer to check hand-eye coordination, ability to multitask & numerical and mental agility
