President’s LetterDear Ministers,

A recent article in a Buddhist journalreminded me of the importance of ourfree will choice in our spiritual evolution. Our ability to choose and learn from theoutcome of those choices provides acompass to guide us to find our truenature that lies within the humanexperience.

Serving as aSpiritual Science Minister –

We the Healers

I started out to write an article on Soulconnections… but could not get it to flow.Recent international and national eventsweighed heavily on my mind and spirit.Instead I found myself writing about ourtimes and thoughts stimulated by a book Iread entitled Healing the Soul of America –Reclaiming Our Voices as SpiritualCitizens by Marianne Williamson.

What troubles me most in recent years isthe apparent disregard for others thatseems to be rampant as evidenced throughpolitical and social issues as they arepresented in the media and the cavalierattitudes taken by political leaders withregard to those issues. It is as if we havebecome a nation of narcissists and proud ofbeing such.

Blatant threats of violence in theinternational political arena and violenceby groups toward other groups andindividuals on the streets at home, oftenunhampered by the police, raise manyquestions. While many of the local policedepartments have been militarized this hasnot improved efficiency or effectiveness;rather it is resulting in behaviordiametrically opposed to the motto thatmany police cars used to have on them thatsaid: “To Serve and Protect”. There arethose I am sure who will say: “That wasthen and this is now – the world haschanged.” My question is why did we soeasily discard our values, ethics and moral

Last week the Trumpadministration had achoice - either itcould support a gaycouple trying to buy awedding cake inColorado or the bakerwho refused to make

the cake for them. What do you thinkhappened? The President supported thebaker! What's worse, the U S AttorneyGeneral, Jeff Sessions, did too. This iscertainly a sad state of affairs for thepeople of this country.

I can hear you saying, "Ah, a politicalarticle." But, it actually is more. You see,in my personal opinion, our rights arebeing jeopardized by some of the highestrepresentatives of our government today! Please consider that it is in this vein that Ihave written this article for yourconsideration, and mainly to make youaware of a small obscure case that couldhave a profound impact on all of us.

All along Colorado state law has prevailedin the lower courts because the lawprevents public accommodations - yes, even bakeries - from refusing service toanyone based on marital status or sexualorientation. Yet, this case was appealed tothe Supreme Court of the U S and theyhave voted to hear it this October despitethe fact that most states have similarprotections under the law.

However, US Attorney General Sessions(who in my opinion is uncannily wrongabout so many things and still continues inhis job-e.g. immigration, race, LGBTrights, etc.) filed an amicus curiae (friendof the court) brief on behalf of the JusticeDepartment asking the Supreme Court tooverturn Colorado and find for the baker!

The 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibitsdiscrimination by private businesses andmost states (including Colorado) prohibitdiscrimination based on sexual orientation.Despite the law, in my opinion, this brief

shows the Administration's bigoted andignorant view of the U.S. Constitution.Apparently Sessions, Trump and the Dept.of Justice feel that the baker's right tofreedom of religion takes precedence overblatant discrimination. Since when is abakery a church?

Such thinking shows on its face a lack ofunderstanding of our Constitution and nomatter what the baker's beliefs it does notgive him the right to use religion as thebasis to discriminate against those who donot share them. Also, please consider thatthe baker is not being forced to endorsegay marriage or to officiate in anyceremony. The baker is solely to make acake! Since when does he have a right todiscriminate based on his religiousfeelings?

The intrusion of the White House into thiscase is unfortunate but hardly surprisingwhen one considers Trump's response tothe White Supremacists in Virginiarecently or his edict about transgenderedsoldiers serving in the Military. To mymind it clearly shows the kind of bigotrythat is raising its ugly head again and waspreviously used to justify slavery andsegregation in this country.

Please realize that if the Supreme Courtcreates an exception to anti-discriminationlaws, it would undermine every minoritygroup. It would, therefore, create acountry that only Sessions, Trump andthose of similar ilk, would like to live in,with a flawed and illusory view of the lawof this nation. If you disagree with myopinion, I would welcome hearing fromyou.

footing – and perhaps our ability to love our neighbor as ourselves? It was with thosequestions haunting me that I picked up the above mentioned book and found nuggets ofgold and gems of wisdom in the text to clarify issues and ease my concerns.

Early in the book this gem caught my attention: “For years, I thought I only had to healmyself, and the world would take of itself. Clearly we must work on healing our ownneuroses in order to become effective healers. But then, having worked on our ownissues a while, another question begs for an answer: how healed can we ultimatelybecome while the social systems in which we live and move, and have our earthly being, remain sick?” (Italics are mine)

Now that really was important. I have been ahealer not only within our Spiritual ScienceChurch but also as a Reiki Practitioner and aDruid for many years. Thinking I was doing mypart working on my own healing and those whowere drawn to me, I was content for a while. Ifinally had to ask the same question thatMarianne Williamson asked in the paragraphabove. I have seen and experienced wonderfulmoments where healing was powerfully

demonstrated in individuals’ lives, but how far can I or those for whose healing I havebeen a catalyst or a channel go while the ‘social systems’ in which we live continue tobe sick? The obvious answer is not very far, unless I or we each find a cave and becomean off grid hermit – but I have been taught that “no man is an island”. Thus becoming ahermit is not an option. It is now clear to me that if I do not act I will still be affected bythe social ills that beset the area in which I live and beyond. The only viable solution isthat I must find a way to aid in healing our local and national social ills; and becomemore outspoken, active and energetic in my efforts to do so.

The book pointed out that: “The principles that apply to our personal healing apply aswell to the healing of the larger world.” I agree with that statement because I too believethat all healing principles and energy come from the Source. We may learn and applythe principles and we may channel the energy, but whatever we call them the principlesand the energy come from the same source. Just as the rain falls and sun shines on thejust and the unjust alike, so too the Universal Healing Energy is readily available to allwho seek it.

First we have to acknowledge that there is a problem, then be willing to address it. Toooften it is easy to be tempted to wear rose tinted glasses and ignore issues or adopt apolitical platform from which to blame others for the problems that exist. Neither ofthese approaches address the issues. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, the issues… What are the issues?

For starters, as Marianne Williamson points out: “Today, most Americans are toocynical, or tired, or both to even approximate our Founders’ courageous repudiation ofinjustice. Where they claimed their rights to assert power, we routinely countenance thediminution of our own. Looking at what they did to broaden their freedom helps inspireus to reinvigorate ours.”

She continues to explain that the Founders’ rethought political power, transforming itfrom a governmental source to a citizen source. Their template was the exaltation of

individual goodness as proposed during theAge of Enlightenment. Thus they envisionedpower flowing from the people not from thegovernment. “It was not to be wealth orpower of one’s outer circumstances, but thespirit of intelligent goodness which residesin us all that was entrusted with the authorityto rule this nation.”

Then “Money began to replace justice as ourhighest ambition, and authoritarian businessmodels of the Industrial Age came to replacedemocracy as the main organizing principleof American society. The elements of highertruth that so imbued our founding – thestunning declaration that all men are createdequal and should share equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – wereinsidiously exiled to the corners of theAmerican mind. They remained in ourdocuments but began a slow and torturedexit from our hearts.”

In 1997, at the time of the writing of thebook, 36 million people including one fifthof the children in this country lived in abjectpoverty. Poor nutrition has been linked to thelack of ability to learn or to focus and topoor participation in school. The numbershave grown since then. Poverty is directlylinked to crime, disease and social disorder.Lack of or poor education is also linked tocrime, social unrest and violence. We couldgo a long way toward healing the ills of oursociety by solving these issues along withthe problems related to education, employment, and wage disparity. How canthese issues be addressed? Engaging thepeople is not easy but it is only with theactive participation of each citizen that wecan assure that elected officials do respondto the will of the people. The book gaveexamples of times the Congress ignored the

We the HealersBy Rev. George Bergman, Jr.

Every moment brings a gift of gratitude. Yet we tend to focuson what’s wrong, either with ourselves, or others. We judge, label, condemn and yearn for something more or better, completely oblivious to the beauty, wonder and abundancewhich comes from remembering who we are and our greatcalling in the world.

We tend to prefer a glass half empty. We can then fill it with“yes, but,” “if only,” and “my hurt is more important and impactful than yours.” It isour way of separating ourselves from the suffering of others and the great acts ofloving kindness at play all around us.

Suppose, just for today, we practiced remembering that everything is a gift. Wecould begin by being grateful for the gifts in front of us. We might start with ourapartment or home, our food, our health, our families and friends, our pets, our jobsor pensions, our senses, our freedom, our belongings, our unique abilities, ourcreativity and passion for justice. We could add the capacity to dream and imagine. Can you imagine what might change if we consciously committed to that shift inconsciousness?

Spiritual Science principles remind us of the One Universal God presence fromwhich we come and are never separated. Teachings of the Divine Masters affirm it.Knowledge of Spirit leads us to understand and accept the outpouring of blessingand abundance in our lives. If we readily embraced these principles, gratitudewould be our first and continuous response all through the day. Our understandingof service as a Way of Life would come naturally and effortlessly.

We would realize that we have the best seat in the house. We would know that thismoment is the right time and place to blossom. And we would look for the lessonthat each moment brings to align with our source. Walls of separation between MEand THEE would tumble down.

We have a calling: a joyful calling. As ministers of Spiritual Science, we point theway to empowerment and self-actualization for others. Some 2,000 years ago Jesusthe Christ…a world Avatar…modeled the way before us. We stand at the dawn of aNew Age where the seeds of Christ Consciousness are poured out to us by DivineMasters of all faith traditions. They empower us as way showers in manifesting theBeloved Community already among us.

The Great Turning of the Aquarian Age is fully imbedded in us. Current structuresin government, commerce, medicine and law which previously relied oncompetition, greed and vested self- interest are giving way to a new sense ofcooperation in caring for the environment and thesocial well- being of all. As Will Wilkins reminds usin his essay “Principles of Spiritual Leadership,” weare called upon to be hospice workers to a dyingculture and midwives to an emerging culture. Bothare necessary to act with intelligence and compassionfor the cultural transformation awaiting us. May webe fully present, actively engaged and joyful birthersto the possibilities before us. My gratitude to each ofyou for being part of the process!

will of the people and acted counter tothe will of the people. They were able todo so because fewer and fewer citizenshad been speaking out about inequalitiesand other issues.

Another powerful step toward resolvingthe ills of this nation would be to engagethe citizens more strongly and moreoften by raising their awareness of theissues and raising their sense of beingempowered individuals. The system isnot too big to fail, nor too big for thecitizens to have an effective voice inwhat is to happen.

Let us standtogether asHealers… ourgoal: to healthis nation andthe world… Weas the Healerscan helptransform this

Astrological Insights By Rev. Mary Gemming, Ph.D.

ASTROLOGY ANDTHE CAYCE READINGS

By Rev. Mary Gemming, Ph.D. from the CosmicCenter of Spiritual Light

How would you like to be ableto give someone astrologicaldetails on personal traits, vocation, karma and priorearthly incarnations withoutopening a book or a computerprogram?

Edgar Cayce, known as the“Sleeping Prophet” for hisamazing trance abilities, wasable to give such details by only

asking for the person’s birth date and address. Out of the40,000 life readings given by Cayce through a self-inducedtrance, 2,000 readings were on Astrology. In 1923, ArthurLammers, a wealthy printer from Dayton, Ohio, asked Cayce togive him a reading on his horoscope. At the time, Cayceconsidered horoscope information as fake, until he filled theprinter’s request. Lammer’s reading not only validatedastrology, but it included the doctrine of reincarnation, whichCayce did not believe in.

Can you imagine the surprise of Cayce when he learned that hisunconscious self had brought forth information linkingastrology with reincarnation when he did not believe in eitherone in his waking state? Cayce was a devout Christian, with nobackground in metaphysics or astrology beyond hisfundamental biblical beliefs.

For someone who never studied astrology, Cayce gave detailsof positions of planets and relationships for clients who came tohim for readings. It was as if he had studied their horoscopechart before the reading, which he never did. During trance,Cayce’s higher self was able to give guidance to the client onhow astrology related to reincarnations and the presentincarnation.

According to the readings, each soul spends time on otherplanets between incarnations, and the horoscope delineates apattern of planetary sojourns which affects the current

personality. Cayce’s life readings named planets that thesoul last took flight from, as well as the influence it canhave over the present life. Cayce emphasized that astrologydoes not necessarily influence life itself, but is a record ofemotional habits grounded in the past.

According to Cayce, the planet Saturn is the instigator ofchanges, instead of the bringer of delays and limitations. He stated that Saturn’s difficulties may represent ourinability to deal with the needed changes that we havebrought into this life. This suggests that we tend to resistthe negative stuff that needs to be deleted from the past ortransformed.

In traditional astrology books Saturn is depicted as maleficplanet, meaning a planet that brings forced events uponsomeone, especially if transiting the natal Sun, or formingadverse aspects to other planets. Saturn is also depicted as

“Father Time.” It makes a complete orbit in approximately29 years, returning to its natal position. From anastrological viewpoint, an individual matures at the timethat Saturn returns to itself. It is the time to get rid of deadwood, and it is time to set your course for the next 29 years.

It is also said that Saturn is the taskmaster. It requires us tocarry out our duties and responsibilities. When we don’t,

there could besome backlash. On the other hand,if we areperseverant inour work orservice, Saturnalso rewards us.When a personaccepts apromotion andassumes greaterresponsibility, it

is an opportunity for fulfilling a purpose in life, just asbeing of service in some way to society is a specialopportunity.Saturn also brings wisdom through the ups and downs inlife, helping us build upon a solid, secure rock from whichno hurricanes or catastrophes can shake us down. One may ask, “Well, isn’t Pluto the transformer who bringschanges?” Let us recall that Pluto was not discovered until(Cont’d on page 7)

1930 and that Cayce gave these readings from approximately 1922 until his demise in 1945. Nevertheless, Cayce named Pluto as aplanet and connected it to power, self-centeredness, and penetrating consciousness.

It was stated that the strongest force in a person’s destiny is the Sun. The next strongest forces are the closest planets to the Ascendantand the Midheaven. The Sun and Mercury, plus their key aspects, can divulge individuality and its efforts to achieve perfectionthrough a series of lifetimes. These combinations may have followed a person through incarnations, while at the same time offeringcertain opportunities. For those who had stressful aspects, such as squares or oppositions, the readings said these were creatingopportunities for greater soul advancement.

One lesson we can glean from the Cayce readings is a more positive view of Saturn and the stressful aspects. The challenge is to seethe so-called negativities of Saturn’s square or opposition aspects as signposts for growth. Cayce emphasized that the reason we arehere on the earth plane is for spiritual growth. His readings dealing with astrology and the books by Ted George, can give us a map ofour soul purpose, as well as special guidance for the here and now.

Summer Minister Gathering in Rochester, New York

The Spiritual Science Mother Church board held the second annual summer gathering in Rochester, New York on June 10th and 11thof this year. All the ministers who attended had a marvelous time and are looking forward to next year's event.

Many thanks to Steven and Marvin for hosting and making us all feel at home.

The gathering spent a rich Saturday at Ganondagan (ga·NON·da·gan), the site of a Native American community that was a flourishing, vibrant center for the Seneca people who are one of the six nations comprising the Iroquois Confederacy. The Seneca people'sdemocratic ideals served as an inspiration for the U.S. Constitution, and their matriarchal society helped inspired the 1848 declarationof sentiments that eventually lead to a woman's right to vote.

We were fortunate to have an inspiring tour of the Seneca Art& Culture Center by a Native American guide whoprovided a personalized view of history, the culture and loreof the Seneca people.

After the tour we had dinner at a lovely local Italian restaurantand had the opportunity to get to know each other better overa fabulous meal. On Sunday morning the Spiritual ScienceBoard held the June board meeting at Reverend StevenJarose's home. The weather was beautiful and we were ableto have our meeting outside on Steve's deck listening to themelodious flow of a nearby stream.

Thanks, Steve and Marvin and the ministers that were able toattend, for making a memorable weekend.Left to right - Top row: Rev. Liberty Valance; Jeanie Curtiss; Rev. John Pickin; Rev. Steven Jarose

Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address

The Thanksgiving Address (the Ohen:ton Karihwatehkwen) is the central prayer and invocation for the Haudenosaunee (also known asthe Iroquois Confederacy or Six Nations — Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora). It reflects their way ofgiving thanks for life and the world around them. The Haudenosaunee open and close every social and religious meeting with theThanksgiving Address.

It is also said as a daily sunrise prayer, and is an ancient message of peace and appreciation of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. Thechildren learn that, according to Native American tradition, people everywhere are embraced as family. Our diversity, like all wondersof Nature, is truly a gift for which we are thankful.

When one recites the Thanksgiving Address the Natural World is thanked, and in thanking each life-sustaining force, one becomesspiritually tied to each of the forces of the Natural and Spiritual World.  The Thanksgiving Address teaches mutual respect, conservation, love, generosity, and the responsibility to understand that what is done to one part of the Web of Life, we do to ourselves.

The thanksgiving prayer shown below is an abbreviated Iroquois version. For the full length thanksgiving prayer, visithttp://nmai.si.edu/environment/pdf/01_02_Thanksgiving_Address.pdf.

An Iroquois Prayer Returning Thanks To Mother Earth

We return thanks to our mother, the Earth, which sustains us.

We return thanks to the rivers and streams, which supply us with water.

We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.

We return thanks to the moon and stars, which have given to us their light when the sun was gone.

We return thanks to the sun, that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.

Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit,in Whom is embodied all goodness,

and Who directs all things for the good of Her children.

IlluminationsAscended Masters, Cosmic and Divine Being Series

By A. D. K. Luk(Selected by Rev. Jay Quinn)

MORYAMorya came to Earth as a guardian fromthe planet Mercury. He is an AscendedBeing now and Chohan of the First Ray,therefore an authority for its action toEarth. He represents the Will of God,gives assistance in all governments andstands by any one desirous of doingGod's Will.

Most of His embodiments were masculine. He has been a king inmany embodiments. He was Melchior, one of the Three WiseMen who found their way to the Christ Child. He could have hadhis Ascension then but refused it, in order to have a definiteconnection with the physical world which would not have beenpossible from the Ascended State, for that future date to bringforth Theosophy. Morya, Kuthumi and Djwal Kul endeavoredthrough Theosophy to bring the understanding and truth of lifeand that there is no death; but mankind was not willing to give thenecessary obedience which brought about spiritualism as a result.Theosophy acquainted seekers of Truth in the WesternHemisphere with the Masters. Here the Three worked togetheragain, as They are also doing at present. Their Twin Rays ordivine complements are in physical embodiment and renderingservice to mankind under the guidance of the Great WhiteBrotherhood.

Morya led three crusades. He was King Arthur of the fifth andsixth centuries. He took embodiment as Thomas More in 1478 inEngland; He is responsible for the poems by Sir Thomas Moore, the Irish poet. He purposely wrote poetry to soften his nature toget a better balance against the many embodiments of rulership.Hercules was His Teacher. He also received training under theLord Maha Chohan. He was a Rajput King of India. It was saidthat he retained that body for three hundred twenty-five yearsbefore he made the Ascension, around 1888.

He is Chief of the Council of the Great White Brotherhood atDarjeeling, India, and is in charge of the Retreat there. Hisdisciplines are very strict.

He has dark brown hair and piercing brown eyes; He is around sixfeet six inches in height. The blue violet is His favorite flower. His keynote is "Panis Angelicus." His electronic pattern is the

"cup", a chalice.

Morya was in our country in His tangible body in 1916, and in

December 1937 He walked the streets of our cities to give theneeded protection through radiation. He is One of the BeingsWho direct the Cosmic action of the Rainbow Rays which wereestablished May 24, 1938, from New York to Los Angeles andthrough the earth back to New York in a complete circle.

KUTHUMIKuthumi has been Chohan of the Second Rayand still holds that office although He, with Jesus, had assumed responsibilities as World Teacher. His action is illumination; His activity iseducation, giving understanding and wisdomthrough love. He is a Brother of the Golden Robe.He officiates at the Temple of Illumination orWisdom over Kashmir.

Lord Maitreya was Kuthumi's teacher, but He was also trainedunder the Lord Maha Chohan and the Divine Director and wastaught the exact instruction of the "I AM".

He was the Greek philosopher, Pythagoras (580-500? B. C.) inone embodiment. He settled in Southern Italy at Crotona between.540 and 530 B. C., where he made many important discoveries invarious studies—mathematics, geometry, astronomy, and music. He determined that the world was round, that the planetsproduced music of the spheres and that the Real Self wasimmortal and came back into embodiment many times. He taughtthese doctrines at his school.

In another embodiment he was Balthazar, one of the Wise Menwho followed the Star to the birth place of Jesus. He could haveascended then but like Morya did not, so as to have the closerphysical connection to bring forth Theosophy in the future. SaintFrancis of Assisi was another embodiment of his (1181 or 1182-1226) . He was such a lover of nature that he would watch acertain phase for hours, or would stay a whole day with a flowerto see it open into full bloom and perhaps watch it close again atnight. He was one of the few who represented the heart of thenature kingdom. He was able to reach through the elementalkingdom and accelerate his consciousness to a point where he wasof assistance in that realm. Birds and animals were drawn to himto be in his radiance which was about him drawn by his constantattention and adoration to his Source. Saint Francis went out topreach in 1208. He founded the Order of Franciscan friars, theOrder of St. Clara later, and then a third called Tertiaries. Someclaim He was also the Pharaoh of Egypt, Thutmose III who

erected the obelisk which is now in CentralPark, New York. He built the Taj MahalHall (1630 to 1652) in anotherembodiment. He built it, one of the world'smost beautiful buildings, for one he loved. It is said that now when marble is chippedoff it replaces itself automatically.

Kuthumi was at Oxford University (1850) ,in his last embodiment and wasinstrumental in bringing forth Theosophy. He was from India. It was said hemaintained that body for three hundredyears; then went into a valley in theHimalayan Mountains and ascended fromthere, in about 1889.

He renders a certain definite servicethrough music by playing His organ at HisFocus at Shigatse in Tibet. He is one of theAscended Masters Who walked the streetsof our cities in December nineteen thirty-seven.

He is of a very gentle nature; and mostgentle and patient in His presentation ofinstruction.

He has golden hair and blue eyes. Hiskeynote is "Kashmiri Song (Pale Hands ILoved) ".

PAUL-THE VENETIANPaul, The Venetian isknown in this mannerfor the simple reasonof distinction. He isthe Chohan of theThird Ray, the Ray oflove. He is theauthority over themusical ray to Earth.

He was the artist Paolo Veronese, born inItaly, and well known for his paintings. One of his great paintings, perhaps thegreatest, hangs now in the entrance hall ofthe Retreat in Southern France. Thispainting depicts the Holy Trinity. He was in embodiment on Atlantis andwent to Peru just before the Atlanteancontinent sank.

His interest is to nurture the undevelopedbut latent talents in individuals by lovingthe Flame in their hearts. He assists themthrough radiation to achieve beauty in allthings and express perfection, and to fulfilltheir divine plan. He helps developtolerance and love for one another. Hecarries the Adoration Flame to theconsciousness of mankind as well as toAngels. One of His activities is the trainingof Elementals. He can be very firm too, inHis discipline.

He attained the Ascension April 19, 1588,from the Retreat of the Liberty Flame inFrance. The Master Paul has golden hairand blue eyes. He is about six feet fiveinches in height. His keynote is "LoveSong to Elsa" from Lohengrin (Wagner) .His flower is the rose. His electronicpattern is the Three-fold Flame.

SERAPIS BEYSerapis Bey is from therealm of Bey, hence thename, wherein is Hisdwelling place. He is the greatdisciplinarian knownthrough the centuries forthe action of strictdiscipline. Real discipline

is not stipulation over another whichwould thwart the innate progress, butinstead it is a holding in check the humanqualities so that the inner or Real Self canhave expression. This is very essential tothe attainment of the Ascension which isthe culmination of all embodiments. He came as a guardian to Earth'sevolutions, and took physical embodimentas many did. It is said that He came fromVenus.

His inner service is in the Fourth Sphereand He works with the Christ Selves of theunascended life-streams there.

Serapis was the priest in the AscensionTemple on Atlantis before its sinking, towhom was delegated the task of taking aportion of the Ascension Flame to safety.

He with forty of the Brotherhood sailed ina boat to Egypt, according to the directionsthey had been given. Just after theirlanding on the Nile River in the locality ofLuxor they were aware of the sinking ofAtlantis by the rumble and shaking of theEarth.

He established a Temple there for theAscension Flame and has been theguardian of that Flame ever since. Sometrusted Brother in physical embodimentwould stand guard when he was at innerlevels in between embodiments. Since thesinking of Atlantis around 12,000 yearsago he has had nearly all embodiments inEgypt.

While in embodiment in Egypt asAkhenaton IV and Amenophis III he builtthe Temples at Thebes and at Karnak. He was king Leonidas of Sparta and wellknown for the discipline at that time. Hewas in embodiment in Greece and hadsomething to do with the creating of theColossus at Rhodes at that time. He wasPhidias in one embodiment, an Athenianarchitect and sculptor. He brought forth thedesign of the Parthenon and supervised thebuilding of it. According to oneencyclopedia it was dedicated in 438 B. C.

He made the Ascension around 400 B. C.and after that He became Chohan of theFourth Ray under which comes the actionof the Ascension Flame. He is the Masterin charge of the Brotherhood at Luxor,Egypt. He works with the Seraphim.

Serapis Bey has golden hair and His eyesare amber color. "Celeste Aida" is Hiskeynote. His electronic pattern is a heart.

Tribute to Reverend Alethea Worden

With great sadness, we report that Reverend Alethea Worden passed into spirit on June 27th of this year. Reverend Worden wasordained by Reverend Ellen Resch in 1981. She is known by many of us for her individual astrological readings and hercontributions to the Astrological Insight feature in the Pillar of Light Newsletter for many years. She was a very kind, generous andpositive soul despite many earthly challenges.

A dear friend and colleague, Joaniko Kohchi, shared the following "Alethea Lynne Worden made her own path on her spiritual, professional and personal journeys, holding close the richness of trusting friendships and deeply held beliefs. She worked as a financedirector for small or mid-size design firms, breaking glass ceilings with loyal tenacity, intelligence, and a dedication to spiritualprinciples that compelled her to reach beyond material comforts. Her hearty laugh warmed ordinary conversations and inspiredcourage. Wishing her smooth passage and freedom from pain."

Reverend Alethea Worden is survived by serval nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. They were devoted to her and lookedafter her care during her final days. She was also cared for by her devoted friend Susan Harris Layne.

Please send Alethea loving prayers for good progress on her soul's journey.
