RHFV Vibrodrivers work at high frequency and are equipped of PTC Variable Moment Technology, which allows for a start-up and shut-down without vibration and an adjustment of the vibration amplitude.

The hydraulic clamps take hold of the tops of steel sheet piles. To proceed with the driving, the middle cylinder pushes down the sheet pile with a force of 200 t while the other two cylinders hold the load. The two remaining sheet piles are driven down one after the other. Once all the sheet piles have been pushed by the full stroke of the cylinders, the cylinders retract together ready to repeat the whole cycle.

• According to soil conditions some piles may initially have to be driven with a Vibrodriver. Pre-drilling is also an option to consider.• The press can as well be used to extract sheet piles from the ground. No additional equipment is required for this process.• The hydraulic press is mainly used in job sites requiring an extremely quiet pile driving process, such as near hospitals, universities, houses and offices.

ADVANTAGES COMPARED TO TRADITIONAL PRESS SYSTEMS

The PTC piling rigs equiped with the P3-200 press allows a fast and easy start on the job site, as no reaction mass is required next to the first sheet piles.

This is as well an advantage when reaching the corner of a sheet pile wall, as the rig can easily be positioned to continue driving along the corner.

In conclusion, not needing a reaction mass saves valuable time for the job site setup and during sheet piling work.

SIDE DRILLING

The D30 side auger can penetrate the ground up to 6 m and be installed on the side of the mast. Hence it can be operated without removing the vibrodriver or hammer from the mast. It is supplied with its dedicated pull-up winch, to extract the auger from the ground.

• An auger guide with hydraulic opening is included.

Pre-dilling is used to loose tightly compacted soil by screwing in a drilling auger. It is used as a preliminary step and it should remove very little or no soil at all to the surface.

FRONT DRILLING

The front auger D125 can penetrate the ground up to 20 m and requires to be installed on the main trolley. The pile driving tools need to be taken off from the leader. The main winch of the piling rig is used to pull-up or pull-down the auger in the ground.

• An auger cleaner is provided, as well as a protection grid on the pile guide to improve workers safety.

MONITORING SYSTEMFor Piling Rigs

The setup button gives access to a menu showing the list of the piling tools available. The operator just need to click on the desired tool and the software will automatically configurate the piling rig parameters, and the screen display to begin working with the new piling tool.

PTC piling rigs are equipped with a large LCD color touch-screen designed for the operator’s comfort and ease of use. The piling rig parameters can be controlled or modified through this screen, to adapt the machine to special working conditions.

To switch the pile driving tool, the operator selects the tool on the screen and the machine settings change immediately to start working with the new equipment. Advanced machine diagnosis is provided through the LCD screen, making trouble shooting easier.

PTC proposes an advanced monitoring system that allows to register the working parameters of the job site. With this information you can prove that you comply with the job site requirements.

Reporting facilitated:• Graphical representation of pile driving parameters.• Specific computer software is provided to recover the job site data for analyzing and printing the reports.• Data transfer: - Data can be recorded in standard USB key for easy transfer to a computer. - An integrated GSM / GPRS modem allows immediate data transfer to the office computer (SIM card required).

VIBHAMMER

The Vibhammer is a monitoring system that allows engineers to calculate the pile bearing capacity.

• Display and records the energy and stroke data.• Display and records the penetration increments entered by the operator.

VIBMASTER®

Vibmaster® is a monitoring system to control the Vibrodriver according to the following:

• Set-up a limit of soil particle velocity.• Control the Vibrodriver’s vibration to never surpass the stipulated soil particle velocity limit.• Display of penetration depth.• Display vibrator’s operating pressure.• Vibrodriver’s vibration frequency and amplitude (optional).• Verticality (optional).
