Virgil Woods, Allen Chapel AME Church, and Minister Angela Davis of Pilgrim. Others currently scheduled include Rev. K. Edward Copeland, New Zion Baptist Church (who was "rained out" in May); Apostle Mark Williams, Banner of Truth/House of Refuge; Rev. Steve Cossey, Total Faith Community Church; Rev. DeCarto Draper, Jr., Providence Baptist Church; and Minister Carl L. Towns and Minister David Sidney of Pilgrim. The half-hour worship time is inclu- sive of music or dance, prayer, scripture, meditation, a message, and a closing prayer. Try this refreshing non-denominational worship experience just once, and perhaps you will change your mind! The new Pavilion at Anderson Japanese Gardens , located at 318 Spring Creek Road in Rockford , has proven to be a wonderful worship oasis with each service an awesome and spirit- filled start to the day. Mrs. Beverly Owens, Pilgrim's office manager and coordinator of the Thursday worship, mentioned that during one of the services, the Pastor asked everyone to bow in prayer. Just then, the ducks and geese started quacking and honking! The Pastor calmly waited and said, “Let every- thing that hath breath praise the Lord!” Though wanting to laugh, the worshipers somehow found an immediate sense of reverence and confirmation that all of God’s creation have a right to praise Him!
