Unforgivable People:• Roman Soldiers• Pharisees• Scribes• Pilate• People that time
Some Real Story Excerpts:• Within the family - samaan ng loob sa
mag-asawa, anak, kapatid, pinsan, in-laws, etc.
• Within the office – angry boss, chismis, envied co-employees, PU, demanding callers and boss, etc.
• Within neighborhood – no parking, basura, nakawan, maingay, etc.
• Within circle of friends – boyfriends, inggit, new car, new cellphone, new house, etc.
• Within the community – GMA, Villar, Mayor, Association, Government, etc.
Beyond Forgiveness:
• What they did that day is unforgivable.
• When you crucify the Son of God entails absolute definition of unforgivable.
And yet Jesus said, Father forgive them…
One great relevant Question is…
How do you forgive someone who has done something wrong and made you hurt?
ANSWER is…
Two things come to mind that will help us understand how to forgive.
Number One is…
By remembering that the people who are hurting you do not really know what they are doing.
• Those people knows what they are doing but they don’t know what is the much meaning or enormity of it.
• Same truth applies with the people who hurt us – they need our forgiveness more than they know.
• They did not know down deep and how bad it would be.
• They will probably never change until they are forgiven.
Number Two is…
By remembering that Jesus forgave us when we were unforgivable.
• Those people who crucify Jesus is the same action we do nowadays. No Body is Perfect and Good.
• We think we are better than them, not as bad, cool than them, justifiable as we think we are, and good as we think.
• Those people and us now has the same and common denominators – we get mad, lose temper, write stinging letters or texts, say stupid words, hurt our children & spouse, break promises, and think bad.
We are…
• Self-deceived• Truly sinners• Fail in many ways• Same boat together
The secret of Forgiveness is to understand that you, us & the person who hurt us has no difference at all.
• It is enormously significant that the first word from the cross is a word of forgiveness.
• We are being told by that, Jesus came to establish a church and religion of forgiveness.
• Jesus will bring to the world a race of forgiving men and women.
Personal Message…• A lot of us did not turn over
a new leaf.• We just got all the leaves
from the past years.• We brought a lot of excess
baggages kept inside our hearts. In order for us to move on or to
have a stress –free life, we must forgive and do not let things go seriously. Chill out!
Let us GO on Let us GO on LTBLTB now! now!
LL – list down those hurt memories and injured feelings of ours and write on Forgiven.
TT – tear it!
BB – burn it!
Our prayer…“Holy Father Almighty, all of us know
that it is easier to talk about forgiveness than doing it.
And yet we all know how much we suffer when we forget to do what Jesus did on the cross. Grant us the courage to step a giant step of forgiveness. Teach us that however painful forgiveness may be, it is infinitely better than refusing to forgive. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, who forgave us when we were unforgivable, amen…”
