P I A N O Another Patterning FunSheet! Cover up all the black keys and you have no way to find your way around the piano keyboard! However, to young children the black and white keys may just seem like bunches of black and white keys! Start on one end and “walk” along the top half of a paper keyboard where there are both white keys and black keys.... white key, black key, white key, black key, white key .....Ohh! Another white key! Point out all these places where there are two white keys, then talk about the pattern of two black keys with one white key in between each of them, followed by two white keys.....then three black keys with one white key in between each, followed by two white keys, etc. SOOO, there is a pattern...two black keys standing together and three black keys standing together ....and then it starts over! These FunSheets have the children finding the two black key groups or the three black key groups. You could also have them find the bigger “2-3” black key groups. ACPCircle2and3FunSheets
