• Victor Schrager is a New York artist who

was involved in still-life photography

when he was a Harvard student.

• Schrager had been experimenting with

the plate camera’s selective process,

considering its swing and tilts in order to

physically engage the elements of a

picture and began to watch solid books

vaporize beneath his lens.

• The books are arranged using rigorously

angled geometries and luminous planes of

colours.

filter

and changes in vibrancy levels to allow the

books

to appear more visible than the background.•The saturation levels were also modified to

allow more radiant colours for the books for a

greater aesthetic appeal.
