SHOT ANALYSIS IN PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
SUMMARY
Renewable Energy Sourcesfree and friendly to the environment
human will is required in order to
turned the world energy production to
the direction of ‘Green Growth’.
the protection of the environment is
imperative need while the ‘Greenhouse
Phenomenon’ causes most unfavorable repercussions in quality of life of citizens via the
changes that cause in the world climate.
• the term ‘photovoltaic’ emanates from the Greek word ‘light’ and ‘voltaic’ that it means electric, from the name of Italian physic professor ‘Volta’, from whom emanated the unit of electric tendency (volt). The term ‘photovoltaic’ (P/V) was in effect in the English terminology since 1849.
• the P/V Phenomenon was discovered by 19teen year old French physic professor Alexander Edmond Becquerel (1820-1891) in 1839.

Photovoltaic Cell to Photovoltaic Array
• Solar cell is named the electronic
provision that produces electric
energy under the effect of solar
radiation.
• Also named photovoltaic cell (P/C)
• a P/C has dimensions 125x125mm
and force roughly 3.5Wp and
tendency of open circuit 0.5V
• Sc-Si, Mc-Si, Ribbon Silicon, CdTe, a-
Si, CIGS
• the quality of photovoltaic element
is evaluated depending on his
output
• p/v module it is each total of p/v
module connected from each other in
line or at the same time.
• the total elements that constitutes the
p/v module are from 36 until 72.
• each p/v module includes various
material elements of manufacture
• each p/v module depending on the
type of manufacture has differently
electric characteristics.
• pv modules they can be placed in
roofs of home, flat-roof, shelters,
facades of buildings etc.
• A photovoltaic array (or
solar array) is a linked
collection of solar panels.
• p/v arrays connected in row
or parallel.
• Can be small or cover
enough acres
• Many p/v arrays create P/v
Parks
P/V generator is a self-existent department of photovoltaic installation and produces continuous tendency at extension continuous current
P/V Generator – Inverter – Charge Controller
Charge Controller is an appliance that is used in autonomous systems in order to it regulates the correct charge and discharge of accumulators of P/V system.
• Inverter it is a electronic appliance that changes continuous current DC in alternating AC.
• It is connected in line with a photovoltaic frame, a regulator charge and a coupling of batteries
• PV Arrays - PV System can be placed in the soil, in roofs of buildings, in webs, in special trees, in parks, in space vehicles etc.
• if PV arrays are placed in the flat-roof of buildings it will be supposed that they have Southern Orientation, be without rainfalls, does not fall shade above them, without wind and PV arrays are not near from electric cables of NATIONAL ELECTRICAL COMPANY…

AUTONOMOUS PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMGRID CONNECTED SYSTEM
Off-Grid Vs Grid Connected PV Systems
A Grid Connected PV System is in permanent connection with the grid of National Electrical Company with a purpose the energy already produced to send in electrical cables to electricity system. Do not exist stocking mechanisms and such installation should drawn with way that would attribute the biggest annual electric energy. This is achieved with combination of many factors. Grid connected systems vary in size from residential (2-10kWp) to solar power stations (up to 10s of GWp). This is a form of decentralized electricity generation. In the case of residential or building mounted grid connected PV systems, the electricity demand of the building is met by the PV system. •Grid connected centralized PV systems•Grid connected distributed PV systems•Grid back-up PV systems •interactive PV systems
Grid Connected PV Systems can be: •Houses•PV Parks or PV Farms•Solar Tracker Parks
The basic parts of Autonomous Photovoltaic System: 1.PV Array – Solar Tracker2.Solar Inverter and Solar micro-inverter3.Battery system4.Solar controller5.Charger6.Ac-dc loads7.Auxiliary energy sources (ex. Diesel generator)8.Fuse or circuit breaker9.Lightning protection device10.Mounting systems (racks)
In the category of autonomous photovoltaic systems from 100WP - 200WP are included systems which produce electric energy and are not connected with the electric Network.
Off-Grid PV System Grid Connected PV System
PV SYSTEMS
A hybrid system combines PV with other forms of generation, usually a diesel generator. Biogas is also used. The other form of generation may be a type able to modulate power output as a function of demand. However more than one renewable form of energy may be used e.g. wind. The photovoltaic power generation serves to reduce the consumption of non renewable fuel. Hybrid systems are most often found on islands. Pellworm island in Germany and Kythnos island in Greece are notable examples (both are combined with wind). The Kythnos plant has diocane diesel consumption by 11.2%
