Please ensure you child has a warm coat and perhaps beanie to wear when going outside. Students are only supervised in their classroom during breaks when it is wet and rainy. Prep 2019 Enrolments During the past month or so we have enjoyed sharing information about our school and the Kossie educational programs to prospective families who have students beginning their school journey in 2019. The pride our students and staff have for their school has been most evident to those touring the school as has been the positive climate for learning which exists. We would like to thank and acknowledge the school captains who have supported us with the tours of the school, they have been great ambassadors genuinely sharing what they love about Kossie. Please encourage any families considering an enrolment at Kossie for 2018 to visit and tour the school, we already have a healthy number of Prep enrolments for 2019. Fish & Chip Lunch On Wednesday the winners of last week’s Yard award were treated to a special Fish and Chip lunch. We spent a great time enjoying our special lunch together and everyone agreed that it was a fantastic prize to win. School Council Vacancy As a result of the resignation of a current school councillor, we have a casual vacancy for a parent category councillor. If you are interested in joining our council for the remainder of the school year please contact the office to discuss the nomination process. Regional Principal Conference This Thursday and Friday Chelsea and I will be attending the South Eastern Regional Principal Conference in Melbourne. The program will provide us with the opportunity to learn and engage with our peers and local and global leaders in education. Exposure to quality speakers will assist to lead excellence in teaching and learning at Kossie for all students and the staff. Paul Murie and Melissa Hamilton will be providing the necessary support in the office during our absence. Have a lovely weekend, Michelle Hibbert Principal
