Owen Headteacher 18 December 2015 Issue 8 This Christmas we are performing a Christmas play called Angels Up High. It is about a group of angels who act in an innocent and kind way, but they really are naughty and always squabbling. Angel Gabriel has a really hard time keeping them well behaved. Also there is a dishonest innkeeper and his thieves who look through the guest’s bags trying to find something of value to keep. However the angels manage to work their magic and make them into kind people. In the end the characters all come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The songs (in order) The Angel Gabriel song Littles angels Just keep travelling on Something for a rainy day It’s a long way on a donkey Won-won-wonderful Glory to god Angels up high The main parts were performed by the year Sixes and they are … Gabriel- Jaime - May Innkeeper - Chloe P Joseph - Cameron Mc Mary - Jessica D Herod - James W Balthazar - Joel Ruddock Melchior - Brandon Kirk Casper - Lewis Streeton School Play 2015 Angels up High Angel Moonshine - Jazzy Angel Sunbeam - Ellie Angel Gloria - Chloe G Angel Angelica - Poppy Angel Twilight - Libbi Angel Stardust - Aaliyah Akkub - Max Zadbi - Callum F We are having a great time performing this play and have done three shows. Also a massive thank you to all the teachers and especially Mrs Owen and her daughter Meg Owen who adapted the play to ensure everyone had a part. By Joel and James Note: A big thank you to the PTFA who organised the Raffle for each performance and provided the refreshments at each performance too. Also the part of the Star was played by Nia Rodway who choreographed her solo dance at home. Well done Nia! It was beautiful.
