Progression GuideSteps to just get through the game:

Leave the bedroom and head up the ladder.

After talking to Kiter, exit using the right door. Talk to the first man (Clem) on your right (on the field) and you’ll get Duri Forest as a new location.

Head right into a new section and go inside the first building you see. Push the metal crate right and get the Wooden Bat.

Get out of the building (break the bottom wooden crate) and head all the way left until you reach the gate. Climb the ladder and hit the switch with your bat and leave the village.

Head to Duri forest and climb all the way up and head all the way right. You’ll eventually encounter a cutscene and get the slingshot. Use the slingshot and make your way through the dungeon, making sure to visit each room and retrieve any keys you find, you’ll only need two however.

You’ll eventually come to a room with a skull (aka boss) plaque. When you’re ready, head in and defeat the Armored King Toad with your slingshot and bat. Retrieve the heart ruby and golem head (the shooting star).

Head back to the village and head all the way right into the east section and head right and on the last building, jump up and talk to Alex twice. Then meet him back at your place and approach him.

Upon waking up, leave your house, head right, and talk to Alex. If you haven’t already, buy the rolling technique scroll from the Dojo. Depart for Sunflower Road.

When you’re at the road, just keep going left, past the first road, then past the Honey Labs Inn, and finally past the second road. Head for Atai Bridge.

Roll your way through any small areas, push crates and jump and head east. Once you’ve crossed the bridge, head for Atai.

Head all the way left until you meet up with Lisa. Then talk to the mayor and then Lisa about any interesting places. Buy a talkinator potion and sneak into the prison by going through the window. Give it to the bandit for a new location.

Stop by Adar’s House and head west until you enter a large cave and get the bombs and head back.

Enter the Bandit’s Lair, avoiding the booby traps, bandits, baby sand dragons and using the bomb/slingshot to solve puzzles and retrieve keys and passcodes.

Page 6: Phoenotopia Guide

You’ll eventually enter the boss room and fight an adult Sand Dragon, make sure to feed it bombs and hit it when it’s vulnerable. Once that’s done head east and capture the bandit leader, then head to Atai’s prison and approach the guards.

After some events, you’ll meet with the mayor and then be able to leave with Lisa. Head to Panselo Village and go to your house.

Once there, head down and find Alex on the bottom level. Then head for Misty Gorge.

Buy the flotation Donut there and head east, watching out for the fishes, toads, and ghost wasps on your way to Thomas’ Lab.

Once you’re at the lab, head in and find Thomas, which involves finding switches and pressing them and defeating a giant robot, which can be done by dropping the robot done a pit multiple times. Once you’ve found Thomas, head to Daea.

At Daea just head all the way west and up until you’re at the gate to the castle.

After the cutscene, head up and talk with the maid on the floor above you. Leave and the head down and left, into the prison. Talk with the guard there and head back to the gate and talk with the kid there. Go find the residential area and talk with a blonde boy (he should say that Ruby went to take a lunch break) and head for the shop. Go talk with the lunch seller and head for the sewers (in the bottom right part of Daea).

Head left, making your way into the sewers and ultimately getting to the prison.

Once you’re at the prison, find keys and obtain them by using objects around the place or using your items, defeating the prison guards and dogs while freeing prisoners and talking to them, to find out where Thomas is.

You’ll eventually have to fight a wave of guards and dogs and a Kobold where you’ll pick up the javelin where you’ll have to use it to reach the room above and get the key.

Once you do that and reunite with Thomas, head right and grab the key for Prison Block A and go there.

You will eventually find yourself at the Prince Tower where you’ll fight Kobolds, use the javelin to make you way up and using your bombs and slingshots on switches in an attempt to reach the Prince.

Before you get to the Prince you’ll face a Kobold Mercenary General, use the javelin to stay away from him and use it to stun him while he disables part of his shield for an energy shot at you.

After defeating it, you’ll free and meet with the Prince. You’ll be back in Panselo where you will have to gather up all of the adults and Alex for a meeting. After that, talk to the Prince to get the artifact shard and leave the village.

Enter the Great Walls and talk to the person on the far right, before the blocked wall and head through into the Dread Lands.

Page 7: Phoenotopia Guide

In the Dread Lands, make your way through, avoiding the bomb traps and red golems while defeating the steel and partially broken golems while finding keys to progress past the locked doors.

You’ll find the Mul Cavern where you’ll have to find the Rocket boots which is in the leftmost area of the cavern. After obtaining them, use it to help maneuver past the bugs and spiders as well as getting out of the caverns on the other end.

Next, you’ll be at the Ancient’s Crater where you’ll have to avoid setting off the trip wires for bombs and lasers, breaking any sentries and avoiding the laser towers by flying over them (or just going underneath them) where you’ll assemble the artifact at a certain point.

Use the artifact to disable the laser sentries and activate the switch that will lead you deep into the ancient civilization.

Once there, use the artifact as well as your other items to get deeper inside, looking out for enemies, exposing hidden paths with the artifact, and activating switches.

Near the end, you’ll have to fight a giant security mainframe robot, where you’ll need to use the artifact to disable the eyes and then beat up the main body of the robot.

After that, you’ll end up in a chase scene where you should run for it while activating barriers for the pursuer and activating switches to progress through and escape.

You’ll have beaten the game at this point, but there is another area to visit and you can only do that after freeing the person stuck under some rubble at Atai Bridge and giving that person 30 moonstones and taking a teleporter in Fran’s Lab.

You’ll end up in a building in Forgotten Forest where you’ll fight harpies, arcs, and plant dogs while finding or retrieving keys from the environment or from enemies as you make your way through the forest. You’ll end up unlocking Hidden Village which is necessary for 100% completion, but not the main game.

Blow it up and head inside. The large crate on the right has some high quality silk inside. Another one can be found in the mayor’s palace, use the javelin from the outside to sneak in a window on the upper level of the palace. Activate the switch on the right with a slingshot and take the silk inside the safe. The last one can be given to you by helping one of the people in the Crossroads inn with an odor problem (get a bottle of mikan fragrance) and you’ll get some silk that was left behind.

The blood ring is on sale for an attractive price of 999 rai.

Page 12: Phoenotopia Guide

Nebula Armlet – Head to the well in Atai city and make your way all to the right, activating the switches in the rooms and using the javelin and or/rocket boots to find some deactivated laser towers. Blow up the rubble and head inside. Alternatively, you could enter from the Bandit’s Lair side and head down from the heart ruby sequence puzzle and then left into some water and past some caves, but you’ll need the artifact to get through the active laser tower on the other side of the ruins. Once the rubble has been cleared, head inside. Roll through the rubble and enter the next section. Activate the red golem and let it wander around until it is above the pit. Once it is, activate the switch and send him down, then move on to the next section. Defeat the golems here and send the red (and/or gray ones) down the fire pit and move on to the next section. Once you’re there, head for the last door and break some boxes on the right side to find the nebula armlet.

Lucky Belt – Buy a sandwich from Daea and a bottle of mikan fragrance from Atai and head over to the save statue in the Great Walls. Give the guy to the right a sandwich and head inside the door to the left and give the first guy you encounter the bottle. Head left and climb the ladders and talk to the guy on the right edge. He’ll give you a letter as well as a new location. In the Farmer’s Block, head inside the first house and talk to Mr. Lars, the elder on the top floor. He’ll complain about hearing some sound in the basement. Head into the basement and break the boxes and kill the frog in the last one. Talk to him and he’ll pass the lucky belt onto you.

Ancient Armor – Head to Adar’s House and when you’re on top of his house, fly to the left into a cave tunnel. Head left and up and locate and activate the switch with the artifact. Head inside and trigger the first trap and use the artifact to defeat the robots. Continue to make your way inside. You’ll reach a column bomb puzzle. Hit the leftmost switch then the second on the right and then the second on the left and then hit the top switch. (Ignore the right most switch. The order from left to right: 1 3 2 X) Head all the way down and enter the last door on the bottom and you’ll find the ancient armor.

OtherHeart Ruby – These hearted shaped rubies increase your maximum HP by 3 and recovers all of your HP.

Moon Stone – These fragmented pale blue looking rocks don’t really do much for you, but someone is looking for these for research.

Keys – These can be found all around certain locations and can be held by enemies. Specifically, they can be found in Duri ruins, the Bandits’ Lair, the prison in Daea, the Dread Lands and the Forgotten Forest. If there’s a locked gate/door, there should be a key in the area that’ll unlock that door. Although it seem like you can only carry three at a time, you can carry more than that.

Page 13: Phoenotopia Guide

Quest Items – These include items that are primarily used for quests, some of which can be bought like the souvenirs in Daea, while some can only be given by others, like Albert’s Love Letter (as well as Lisa’s Rejection Letter and the Soldier’s Letter to his mom).

Heart Ruby and Moon Stone Location Guide

Duri ForestHeart Ruby #1 – In the ruins, in the room with the Duri fruits and tall trees, climb up to the top and use the rocket boots to fly left into a room. Swim past the sunken furniture and enter the next room. Head down and activate the switch and dodge the arrows as you ascend the ledges. The heart ruby is at the top.

Heart Ruby #2 – Appears after defeating the Armored King Toad boss.

Moon Stone #1 – After opening the first locked gate, head inside the room and head east and solve the bridge puzzle. Climb back up and head west, past the door you came out of. Use the slingshot to knock a Duri fruit out and hit it again to activate the pressure plate. The moon stone is on the left, up the ledge.

PanseloHeart Ruby #3 – In the Dojo, climb up the ladder and use the dodge roll technique to grab the heart ruby.

Heart Ruby #4 – In Gale’s house, head to the kitchen and jump on the shelf. Use the javelin to make a ledge on the right and use the rocket boots to get over there and carefully jump up into the attic. Alternatively, you could head to the gate on the west side, climb the ladder and fly to the right, landing on the shop, then the dojo, and then your house and then head inside the window. The Heart ruby is on the left.

Moon Stone #2 – In the warehouse, push the metal box to the right, climb up and pick up a box and place it on the pressure plate. Jump up and claim the moon stone.

Moon Stone #3 – In Ruth’s house, use the slingshot to hit the switch. Next use the javelin to make a ledge and climb up the ladder and hit the switch there. Next head down to the new area and head left for the moon stone.

Moon Stone #4 – At Ruth’s house, jump up the ledges and throw a javelin to the right. Use the rocket boots and fly to the right and go inside the door. A moon stone is in one of the large boxes at the bottom level.

Moon Stone #5 – Head east until you pass Ruth’s house and reach the wooden barrier. Roll inside the wall. The moon stone is in one of the small boxes.

Page 18: Phoenotopia Guide

Sunflower RoadHeart Ruby #5 – At the inn, give the boy on the bottom level a wooden baton from Atai to get the heart ruby.

Moon Stone #6 – On the east side of the road (east of the inn), the moon stone is on one of the leaves of the sunflowers, on the ledge below the honeycomb. Drop down to get it (or fly from the right/left side).

Moon Stone #7 – On the west side of the road (west of the inn), the moon stone is on one of the leaves of the sunflowers, east of the honeycomb. Either fly from the honeycomb with the rocket boots or drop down on the right leaf.

Atai BridgeHeart Ruby #6 – Go to the western section of the bridge. There should be two large metal boxes east of the heart ruby. Push the lower box to the left and then the top box to the left so that the top can keep being pushed to the left. Once it is position correctly, roll through and grab the heart ruby.

Moon Stone #8 – Go to the eastern section of the bridge. Blow up the large rubble above the ledge with the Perro egg to get the moon stone.

Moon Stone #9 – Go to the middle section of the bridge. To the west of the moon stone, there should be a large metal box and a smaller box. Push the box to the right and use a slingshot or javelin to get the small box out of the broken bridge and stack it on top of the larger box. Position the metal box so that Gale can roll through and snatch the moon stone.

AtaiHeart Ruby #7 – In the marketplace, go through the door hidden by a carpet to the right of the silk trader. Use a slingshot to hit the switch and break the boxes below to form a staircase. Collect the heart ruby at the top.

Heart Ruby #8 – Once you free Lisa and she is back in Panselo village (or left Atai for good), go into the mayor’s palace and enter the door past the archer. Head left and talk to the guy on the right side of the table. Deliver Albert’s letter to Lisa in Panselo village and head back with her rejection letter. Give him the letter and he’ll give you his heart (ruby).

Moon Stone #10 – Give the blue bandit in jail a comic from the shop in Daea.

Moon Stone #11 – Inside the shop, on the bottom floor, break the boxes to the left and head down. Break the boxes there and the vent cover and roll through and you’ll find the moon stone.

Page 19: Phoenotopia Guide

Moon Stone #12 – In the shop, exit at the top door and fly to the left. You should land near two boxes. The moon stone is in one of the boxes. (Alternatively, throw a javelin on one of the sides of the ledge with the box and jump up to break them.)

Moon Stone #13 – At the mayor’s palace, use a javelin and climb up the structure. Go to the pillar on the right. Using some form of stamina booster (honey/potion), fly all the way to the right and land on a pillar with a jar. Break the jar to get the moon stone.

Moon Stone #14 – In the mayor’s palace, head to the kitchen and into the door there and break the large box to the left for a moon stone.

Moon Stone #15 – At the bottom of the well, head right and activate the switches to enter the east most door. Head right until you see some pots or a path that leads upward. Use the javelin to make a ledge and head up and break the pots to get a moon stone.

Bandit’s LairHeart Ruby #9 – After the first button sequence puzzle head left and you’ll find another sequence puzzle with a heart ruby behind it. From there head right and hop on the platforms, avoiding the single arrow trap and head inside the sparkly door to a save room. Head into the room to the right of the statue and carry the lamp there all the way to the right (I advise taking out the enemies first, unless health isn’t an issue). The code for the heart ruby sequence puzzle is on the wall on the far right. (If you have your own lantern that you bought, that will work too. I would post the code, but I’m not sure if the code is randomly generated (pretty sure it isn’t, but it isn’t that far of a walk.)

Heart Ruby #10 – Appears after defeating Bubbles, the fully grown Sand Dragon.

Heart Ruby #11 – Next to the heart ruby puzzle, a bit to the right and down there is a room. Enter it and head down until you find some water. Swim to the left and go inside the building. Press the pressure switch and use the javelin to hit the switches. Once that’s done climb to the top and break the stuff on the right to find a heart ruby.

Moon Stone #16 – In the main entrance of the lair, continue through until you reach a room with thick wooden ledges and trapped bridges and walls. Trigger a trap on one of the two bridges and fall down. Once you’re down, the moon stone is behind some rubble, either carefully time and throw a bomb or use the Ki spear technique to quickly blow it up.

Misty GorgeHeart Ruby #12 – In the third section east of the inn/shop, starting from the left side, swim until you can climb onto a leaf. Keep climbing up the flower and head left and continue to climb, avoiding the spiders on the way. At the very top head right and the heart flower will be on a leaf of the flower (watch out for the ghost wasps though).

Page 20: Phoenotopia Guide

Moon Stone #17 – In the first section east of the inn/shop, swim east until you find five yellow fishes, two purple spiders and a green spitting fish. Swim left until you can find a leaf to jump on top of. Head right, jumping on the platforms while avoiding the spiders and fishes. The moon stone is at the end, on top of one of the leaves.

Moon Stone #18 – In the third section east of the inn/shop, you’ll eventually find some solid grassy land with a save point behind some rubble. Climb the grassy platforms and fly east onto some leaves and then jump onto the arch and head east. In the next section, continue flying/jumping while heading east, taking care not to fall down. Eventually you’ll come across some rubble. Blowing them up reveals a door into a dark cave. Using the lamp navigate your way deeper inside while avoiding the spiky caterpillars. The moon stone is all the way at the end.

CrossroadsHeart Ruby #13 – At the inn, head down and talk to the receptionist and get the deluxe room. Upon waking, head out the door that leads outside. There should be a balcony to your right with a door, jump or fly over there and head inside (if you plan on jumping, head back inside and go through the other door and activate the switch, in case you fail, you won’t have to pay again). The heart ruby is in a large box at the bottom.

Moon Stone #42 – At the inn, talk to the green haired girl to the right on the second floor (technically you don’t need to talk to this girl). Exterminate the slimes from the treehouse (head east from outside of the inn). Head to the Great Walls and locate Gill and talk to him twice. He should be on the second floor of the right wall on the left ledge/side. Head back to Crossroads and go to the treehouse and talk to Floe for the last moon stone.

DaeaHeart Ruby #18 – At the bar, take the dark door at the bottom floor. You should see a wooden box to your right. Destroy the one you see and push the bottom box all the way to the right and do the same for the top box. Roll and grab the heart ruby.

Heart Ruby #19 – In jail area A, head for the prison cells and enter the bottom cell. Bomb the left wall and pick up the boxes and form a staircase to place a bomb on it to blow up the ceiling. Jump up and bomb the wall on the right and claim the heart ruby.

Moon Stone #23 – At the bar head all the way up and break the grate cover. Roll inside and roll to the left. Use a bomb and whack it over the double vent cover. Roll that way and break the treasure chest for a moon stone.

Moon Stone #24 – From the shop or inn, head all the way to the top floor, enter through the door and go left or right, depending on which side you’re on. You should be on a balcony with a yellow hair kid,

Page 21: Phoenotopia Guide

from there head to the right side of the balcony and fly over to the right until you reach another balcony with a door. You’ll see a mini maze. Navigate down and stay right as much as possible until the last two holes. Drop to the first hole you see and you’ll collect a moon stone at the bottom.

Moon Stone #25 – Enter the sewers from the main entrance and once you see water, head right and swim into a small room. A moon stone is in one of the pots.

Moon Stone #26 – Enter the sewers from the main entrance and once you see water, jump across the platforms and throw a spear so you can reach the pots above. A moon stone is in one of the pots.

Moon Stone #27 – Enter the jail from either the main entrance or sewers and head for the save room. Inside, bomb the cracked right wall to reveal some boxes, one of which has a moon stone.

Moon Stone #28 – Right before entering jail area B, there should be a door. Take it and activate the switches in time to open the treasure chests, one of which has a moon stone (I recommend using some honey/potion to move faster, but it’s possible to do it without a speed boost.)

Prince TowerHeart Ruby #20 – Appears upon the defeat of the Kobold Mercenary General.

Heart Ruby #21 – From the prince’s room, head up to the top of the tower and go onto the right edge fly to the right until you reach a balcony. Enter this new tower and activate the switch and head up the ladder (for a challenge, don’t use your javelin/rocket boots). Then solve the block puzzle and proceed to the next room. Pass the treasure chests and head up and jump on the pillars to claim your real prize (the heart ruby).

Moon Stone #29 – Enter the tower from the ground floor. From there, head two sections up. This is where you are first able to go to any side balconies. The balcony here has a moon stone on a block ledge, use the javelin to reach the moon stone.

Moon Stone #30 – From the save room in the tower, head up and jump off the balcony on the right and use the rocket boots to hover back to the tower into the room with the pots. One of the pots conceals the moon stone.

Fran’s LabHeart Ruby #17 – Give Fran a total of 15 moonstones and a heart ruby is yours.

Great WallsHeart Ruby #14 – Pass through the first gate until you arrive at a save statue. Go into the door to the left of the statue into the barracks. Head down and talk to the soldier at the bottom floor twice to learn of a

Page 22: Phoenotopia Guide

draft somewhere. Head right so that you are in contact to the right wall. Roll into the wall to find a pressure plate puzzle. Use the boxes and trigger all of the switches and claim the heart ruby at the end.

Moon Stone #19 – Pass through the first gate until you arrive at a save statue. Go into the door to the left of the statue into the barracks. Talk to the first soldier you encounter and give him a bottle of mikan fragrance. He’ll reward you with a moon stone.

Dread LandsHeart Ruby #15 – From the south end, head into the next two sections (this should be the section with the save room locked behind an “O” door). Upon entering this section, there should be a pillar of boxes, wooden and metal. Break the wooden boxes and use a javelin to get on top of the brick platform. Roll inside and head up the ladder and jump on top of the bookshelf and use a javelin to go up. Defeat the metal golem and push the box to the right and roll through the small passage. Do not break or push the box just yet. Jump over the box and trigger the bomb trap. Next, push the box down. Push the box down the staircase you see right below. Defeat the golems and be careful not to break the box. Then push the box all the way to the right and use a javelin to reach the air duct. Alternatively you could forgo the box and just head to that staircase and throw a javelin to reach the air duct and use the rocket boots to position yourself on top of the javelin. Break the grate cover and head inside. Proceed to the bottom floor with the golems. Past them is a creepy room with the heart ruby.

Heart Ruby #16 – From moon stone #20, look for another crack in the floor and use a bomb there. Use the artifact to open the gate and head inside. Solve the rolling bomb puzzle (you’ll need only two blocks and the platform to be on the right side) and head through the gate. The heart ruby lies inside one of the boxes on the upper ledge.

Moon Stone #20 – From the south end, head into the next two sections. There should be a save room behind an “O” door. From the save room head right and fly across the gap into a room. Head down and look for some cracks on the floor. Place a bomb there. The moon stone is on the right inside some chipped pots.

Moon Stone #21 - In the section east of the save room, head up the ladder and defeat the golem and push the box to the right (but don’t let it drop) climb up and throw a javelin to the right edge and continue right. At the end, there should be a lone pot along with a golem. Inside the pot is the moon stone.

Moon Stone #22 - In the section east of the save room, head up the ladder and defeat the golem and push the box to the right (but don’t let it drop) climb up and throw a javelin to the left edge and collect an “O” key. Or collect another “O” key by heading up the same ladder and head east and onto some block ledges. Use a javelin and a bomb or the Ki spear technique and blow up the wall. Collect the “O” key in the bottom right area. Head back a few sections (west, should be the second back, or the one west of the save room) and go down the first ladder you see. Use the “O” key to the door on the right and collect the moon stone that is in one of the pots.

Page 23: Phoenotopia Guide

Mul Cavern Heart Ruby #22 – From the save room in the caverns, head left and destroy the leftmost hive and head through to find a cave tunnel. The heart ruby is at the end.

Moon Stone #31 – From the south entrance (in the area with the save entrance with paths leading inside the cavern), throw a javelin to the right and use the rocket boots to get over to the right side, at the end there should be some flying cave jellies as well as some boxes, one of which has the moon stone.

Moon Stone #32 – From the save room in the caverns, head a section right and up. On the way you will notice a few ways to get up, including one that have some boxes. When you get to the section above and to the right of the save room, drop down the hole that will lead you to the boxes. Break the boxes on the left for a moon stone.

Moon Stone#33 – From the save room in the caverns, head a section up and right. You should see a ledge above you. Use a javelin and the rocket boots to obtain the moon stone on top of the mushroom.

Forgotten ForestMoon Stone #34 – Before you reach the second save statue, there should be a tree branch. Jump and fly to the left to find another. Throw your javelin and climb onto the ledge and break the pots for a moon stone.

Moon Stone #35 – In the section with the save statue, right after you open the second gate, throw a javelin at the wall on the right side and climb up. The moon stone is in the pot at the top.

Moon Stone #36 – In the section with the save statue, head into the building to the right of the statue, break the boxes on the left to reveal a switch and hit it. Head down head to the door on your left and break the boxes on the left for another switch. Hit it and exit the room. Head for the right most door and keep going through. If you need a key go down and to the left to get one, then head back to the top right area blocked by a locked door. The moon stone is at the very end in one of the pots.

Moon Stone #37 – Head two sections right of the inner save statue. The moon stone is behind some rubble in the left cliff, use the Ki spear technique or a javelin and a bomb to get it.

Moon Stone #38 – From the north entrance, head a section back. You’ll encounter some arches use the tree branches and the rocket boots to climb on top of the tall arches and head left and fly to find some more branches. Fly further left to find one more. Jump and fly back until you reach the top arches. On the top arches are some pots, one of which has a moon stone.

Get through the section and at the very end of the section, throw a javelin to the wall on the left and fly over there. Use the artifact to find some hidden flooring and fly there. The moon stone is on the left ledge, fly over there and break the crates to get it.

For the most part, quests where you can give people items, those people will often have only one line to say when you talk to them (they’ll repeat it each time). Of course, not all people with single lines will always have quests, some of them are those you’ve already helped.

Page 30: Phoenotopia Guide

Advice Section In general, always have some healing items in your inventory in case you’re low on health. Bring some honey so you can get through some areas faster or use your tools quicker/longer. If you’re trying to get loot from enemies/objects, it’s best to have some space in your inventory

(the game seems to detect this). Some objects just give some items naturally (but only once, similar to a breakable object with lots of money inside).

If you’re going after the “Indomitable!” medal, always pack healing items with you. Avoid fighting enemies unless you need to. Unlock the Hidden Village ASAP and buy a bottle of glowing wisps. If those tips doesn’t work, you could always refresh the game (that’s cheating though).

If you’re going after the “Speed Runner!” medal, save often, but only if you feel that you did the best that you could do (rushed through the text, solve any puzzles with the fastest clear time, only talked to necessary people, choose the best possible route, etc.). When you unlock sunflower road, expect to get rid of all of your inventory space and buy all the honey you can, you’ll have to make it last for the rest of the game (you may save enough time to go buy more, but this isn’t likely). Don’t bother with getting healing items or armor or solving quests or getting heart rubies or moonstones, expect to run through the game without getting hurt (getting the heart rubies after boss fights are somewhat acceptable to get, but just rely on the times you automatically sleep as part of the events of the story/game) or health items you pick up to heal. Do get the hammer though as that will shorten boss fight times. Try to clear the boss with a few rounds as soon as possible (all of the bosses have stun/vulnerable periods, don’t let it reach over 2, except for the last boss, assuming you have the hammer), you can get up to three charged hits with each charge, so it is worth it to charge-attack a boss instead of just whaling on it. Highly recommended to go through the whole game once and revisit the areas and then start a new game for your speed run. Go through any unfamiliar parts, but don’t save, just restart the game and go through it again. You are pretty much expected to go through the whole game perfectly (unless there’s a way to skip some parts, but haven’t seen any). The progression guide has the full list of what you just need to do, so follow the steps. Good luck.

If you’re going after the “Treasure Hunter” medal or need money in general, there are a few ways to get this. In general you should be able to get this medal just by exploring everywhere you can go and breaking any and all treasure chests/piggy banks/hidden money boxes/crates. After that, you have a few other ways. One is by doing any quests (avoid the ones with a moon stone as a reward if you’re just planning to get this medal or just money), sometimes you lose money, but most times, you gain a profit. You can sell silk at Atai for 50 rai or Daea for 90 rai, there are only three silk pieces in the game though, so it is recommended that you sell them in Daea. You can also earn 15 rai by selling Duri fruit to the fruit merchant in Atai. Another way is to collect honeycombs in Sunflower Road and give them to the bee researcher there for 15 rai a pop. Later in the game, you can defeat harpies and plant dogs for 10 rai each, the harpies have a chance of dropping a gold bar though and you can sell them in Atai for a huge amount. You can also play the stock market game with the gold bars by buying them low in Atai and selling them

high (range is around 30 – 170 rai, plus or minus 30 rai (I’ve only noticed it going from around 50 to 150)).
