For obvious reasons, almost all of the

world’s sites for testing these catastrophic

nuclear warheads are in remote and not

well known places. This is so that the

blast radius is safe from the population

and prying eyes. ("Top 10 Nuclear",

2012) For obvious reasons these weap-

ons cannot be tested in high occupancy

areas so whoever is testing them has to

find an abandoned area where these

weapons can be safely tested. Some of

these places are desserts, oceans, and in

other non populated areas. The United

states most popular test site is in Nevada

and New Mexico. United states also

tests in Alaska, Mississippi, and Colora-

do.

These weapons, at the moment, are very

uncontained in their test sites and can very

easily be a catastrophic failure. Because of

this I believe that with future technology we

will be able to test these weapons more effi-

ciently and safely.

These nuclear weapons can cause intense radiaon which

kills all life and makes the blast area unhabitable for years

to come. Animals and people near the blast will most likely

have severe radiaon poising. The ash from the explosion

also is radioacve so when it blows with the wind it furtherexpands the area of infecon. This can also wipe out eco-

systems in the area and all signs of life for miles. The aect-

ed wildlife will begin to mutate or it will die o. The nucle-

ar fallout is also ejected into our atmosphere which causes

huge damage and deteriorang the atmosphere. ("How Nu-

clear Bombs Aect the Environment.")
