Sixth annual conference
One of the few undergraduate conferences in Canada
Organized by students, advised by two faculty
Chance to highlight undergraduate research and foment interdisciplinary projects
Conference Presentations
Sessions run from 9:00AM until 3:45PM on Friday and Saturday (Lunch break, 11:45-1:00)
Session are 75 minutes; 3 students present in each session
Presenters each give a 10-15 minute presentation to students and professors
Each presenter will spend approximately 5 minutes answering questions from the audience
Each session is moderated by a professor

Applying to present at the conference
Submit an abstract on our website with a theme related to Philosophy, History, or Politics, preferably by October 31st, 2012http://www.tru.ca/phpconf.html
Your abstract should be 200 words and must include a title, a thesis statement, and a brief summary of the major points of your presentation
External Keynote Address 2013: Dr. Robert Wilson, professor of Philosophy at
University of Alberta
Dr. Wilson’s current research interests are Philosophy of Mind, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy of Biology, among others.
Wine & Cheese Reception
Following Dr. Wilson’s Address we will be hosting a Wine & Cheese Reception in the International Building lobby. The Wine & Cheese is included with
registration.
Conference BanquetJan 19th, 5:30Pm, Kamloops convention centre
The dinner will be catered by Ora Restaurant and Lounge
Tickets are $30 and include
a full buffet dinner and dance
You may purchase an
additional ticket for a guest.

students.
Registration closes Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 5 pm. However, we kindly ask that all students register by Jan. 11th.
All attendees must sign-in at registration table in IB lobby Jan. 17-Jan. 18.
Registration includes lunch on Friday, 18th and Saturday 19th, a continental breakfast on Saturday, and tickets for the Wine & Cheese, it does not include banquet tickets.
