  • Tuesday, February 19International flight from the U.S. arrives in Manila, Philippines, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, with transportation to Seda Vertis North Hotel (or comparable hotel). Meals are not included on this day.

    Wednesday, February 20Travel by ferry to Corregidor Island. A guided tour will include the World War II Memorial Museum, Mile Long Barracks, Battery Way, and World War II

    Ruins. Return to Manila by ferry. Thursday, February 21Pearl S. Buck Philippines staff and guests will participate in an open forum discussion to learn about the current programs and services of Pearl S. Buck Philippines.

    In the afternoon, guests will visit sponsored children in Bulacan, experiencing the lives and families of this community.

    Friday, February 22Visit sponsored children in Pampanga to explore their backyard gardens in Madapdap Village and Angeles City Pampanga. Experience the home life of the families and the community.

    Saturday, February 23Visit sponsored children in the

    Iram Resettlement Area and the Manganvaca Resettlement Area in Zambaless. Experience the home life of the families and the community.

    Sunday, February 24Return from Subic to Manila and prepare for the following day’s travel to Coron, Plawan via airplane.

    Monday, February 25Travel to Coron, Plawan with transportation to Coron Soleil Garden Resort (or comparable hotel). Spend the day experiencing Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Coron Coral Garden, Skeleton Wreck, and Atwayan Beach.

    Tuesday, February 26Coron Island tour: traverse the turquoise water of Coron Bay, cruise to Malcapuya Island, and enjoy the scenic views of other picturesque tropical islands. Delight in the dramatic costal cliffs.

  • Wednesday, February 27Enjoy the hotel ammenities in Coron and prepare for check out. Take a 1-hour flight back to Seda Vertis North Hotel (or comparable hotel) in Manila and enjoy a farewell dinner.

    Thursday, February 28Rest, wander around Metro Manila, or spend time shopping on this free day as you prepare to return home. Meals are not included on this day.

    Friday, March 1Depart for the U.S. from Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

    Per person trip package includes: Single or double occupancy (one king or two single beds) at the hotel accommodations as indicated in itinerary, daily breakfast and meals unless noted otherwise in the itinerary), comfortable and clean transportation including domestic airline tickets (economy class), private English-speaking tour guide, tour admission fees for guided tours as indicated in itinerary, travel insurance for land only.

    Trip package excludes: Passport and visa fees(if any), U.S. ground transportation to/from U.S. airports, all required immunizations and related expenses ( if any), round-trip international airfare (estimate is approximately $1,000 per person economy class seating), personal expenses ( internet access, phone, laundry, bar, overweight baggage charges, spa amenities, etc.), refunds for missed or unused services, accommodations in excess of the nights listed in the itinerary, travel insurance.

    Special note on airfare: Group tour participants will be responsible for securing their own round-trip international flights from the U.S.

    to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines and to the U.S. from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines. Domestic flight reservations to Ormoc are included in the package. In coordination with the in-country group tour travel agent, Pearl S. Buck International reserves the right to change the itinerary or services for reasons which may be out of our control, (natural disasters, Philippines interior airline schedule changes, etc.).

    Passport and health requirements: All U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport to visit the Philippines. The cost of obtaining a passport is not included in the tour price. Visas are required. The Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov) indicate that there are no required vaccinations to travel to the Philippines at this time. They recommend that U.S. citizens consult with their physicians or travel doctors to determine the appropriate precautions. Due to the nature of this tour, participants must be able-bodied and able to walk long distances and climb steps independently.

    Cancellation policy: Cancellation of a booking by you must be made in writing. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by us. Unless otherwise indicated by us, on cancellation the following charges will apply: 120–90 days prior to departure, 30%; 90–60 days prior to departure, 50%; 60–0 days prior to departure, 100%.

    Cancellation or modification by Pearl S. Buck International. Every effort will be made to operate all tours as advertised but it must be remembered that our tours are planned in advance and due to factors outside our control it may be necessary to use alternative accommodation and services in some instances. We therefore reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour, accommodation or arrangement at any time. We will notify you as soon as possible of any material changes. In the event of any material modification or cancellation, we will, if possible, arrange on your behalf three alternatives: services of an equivalent or similar standard( if available), services of a lower standard together with a refund of the difference in price, cancellation with a full refund of all money paid.
