Carolinas Breast Friends (CBF) is nonprofit organization that provides a caring and positive environment for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Women are welcome to visit the CBF Pink House during all stages of their journey - from diagnosis to surgery to chemotherapy and radiation treatments to remission - CBF is here every step of the way and is a place where survivors can laugh, share and learn. The Pink House offers a variety of support services including educational programs, health and wellness seminars and peer-to-peer mentoring. To learn more about our programs and services, log on to http://www.CarolinaBreastFriends.org. • How do you measure success? - Outreach services (Jars, Bags, Pillows) delivered, Survivors assisted by programs (i.e., Mentoring, Social meetings, Counseling meetings, Arts and Crafts, Nutrition programs, Fitness classes) • How does your organization move vulnerable populations from crisis to stability? - Not a specific goal, but accomplished when working with newly diagnosed survivors • Who are your community partners? Are they Profit or Non-Profit? Most of our community partners are non-profits organizations, e.g., Buddy Kemp House, Susan G Komen Charlotte Affiliate, American Cancer Society, Presbyterian Hospital, Carolinas Medical Center. Some of our community partners are for profit businesses that donate, e.g., JE Dunn Construction, 107.9 The Link. • Is this a 501 c3 Charity? yes • What are existing funding sources? Grants & Donations (72%), and Fundraising events (28%) • What percent of contributions/budget go to Administration vs. Charity recipients? Our administrative overhead is 14% of our total expenses. • What is the overall budget? Approximately $250,000 annually • Request copy of most recent Annual Report.
