PGDipEd(Music Education) Orff Schulwerk
STAFFChristoph Maubach has been an Orff
music educaton specialist for more than
twenty years, and trained at the Orff
Institute in Salzburg before moving to
Australia where he took up a position at
the Australian Catholic University and
worked there for a number of years. He
has been on the University of Waikato as
senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education for two years. He has
presented many workshops at a range of locations worldwide.
Millie Locke has been primary teacher
for 25 years and has been a music
specialist for around 15 years. She has
also taught tertiary courses at both
Auckland and Waikato Universities. She
completed her levels training at the
Eastman School of Music in Rochester,
New York. Her masters thesis was on the
topic of teaching as artistry.
Renée Morin has taught music in schools
for 15 years in both Canada and New
Zealand. Her first exposure to the Orff
Schulwerk was in Canada. She joined
ONZA soon after arriving in New Zealand
in 2005. In 2009, Renée was selected for a
one-year programme at the Orff Institute
in Salzburg, Austria and will return to New
Zealand to share her new learnings with participants in this
course.
Celia Stewart has been involved in
music education for many years as a
primary and early childhood teacher,
tertiary lecturer, music advisor and
National Facilitator in primary music.
Celia is a passionate Orff advocate and
done training in both NZ and Australia.
She has done postgraduate study in Orff
Schulwerk through Waikato University and has begun Masters
research on the Orff approach to music education.
