MASSAGE Assalamu Walaikum Warahamatullah.

The standard of living and quality of life of a nation depend on its per capita energy consumption. Bangladesh a developing country and is one of the most densely populated (914 persons/km2) countries in the world, with a total population of 135 million. Bangladeshs per capita energy consumption is very low, the lowest within the Indian subcontinent. The 2005 energy consumption value stands at 227 kgOE, compared to 512 kgOE for India, 490 kgOE for Pakistan, 478 kgOE for Sri Lanka and 450 kgOE for South Asia, and it was much below the world average of 1778 kgOE. Total primary energy consumption in 2004 was 30.70 MTOE and the energy consumption mix was estimated as: indigenous biomass 60%, indigenous natural gas 27.45%, imported oil 11.89%, imported coal 0.44% and hydro 0.23%. More than 77% of the countrys population lives in rural areas, meting most of their energy needs from traditional biomass fuels.

Around 32% have access to electricity, while in rural areas the availability of electricity is only 22%. Only 3-4% of the households have connection of natural gas for cooking purposes. Only about 2-3% households use kerosene for the same purpose and the rest (over 90%) of people depend on biomass for their energy needs. Thus it is crucial to find out alternative and sustainable resources to mitigate the energy crisis in Bangladesh.

It is estimated that about 90,000 metric tons tires become scrap and are disposed of every year in Bangladesh. The disposal of non-biodegradable solid tire wastes from human activity is a growing environmental problem for the modern society, especially in developing countries. Unfortunately, most of these scrap tires are simply dumped under open sky and in landfills in developing countries. Open dumping may result in accidental fires with highly toxic emissions or may act as ideal breeding grounds for disease carrying mosquitoes and other vermin with the aid of rain water. Landfills full of tires are not acceptable to the environment because tires do not easily degrade naturally.

Pyrolysis of tires can produce oils, chars, and gases, in addition to the steel cords, all of which have the potential to be recycled.

Within the past ten years, research and development works have also been carried out for the fixed-bed fire-tube heating pyrolysis reactor system at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). Pyrolysis of various organic solid wastes in the fixed-bed fire-tube heating pyrolysis reactor have been successfully completed and the results are published elsewhere. The Pyrolysis Fuel Industries (PFI) Ltd. has installed a small commercial scale pyrolysis plant at Aminbazar, Savar, Dhaka to take part as a potential contributor for mitigating liquid fuel crisis in Bangladesh. The pyrolysis technology for production of alternative liquid fuel from solid tire waste is new in Bangladesh and it is the first commercial plant in the country.

Our company Support the Government in mitigating the Fuel crisis and replace fire wood with our Carbon Black.

1. Green Oil (Industrial Fuel Oil)

Green Oil is the major product in this process. The oil which is derived from the process its density lies between LDO (Light Diesel Oil) & FO (Furnace Oil).

LDO density is around 0.85 to 0.89 gm/cc at 27 degree centigrade.

Calorific Value Approx 10500 kcal/kg.

FO density is around 0.95 to 0.97 gm/cc at 27 degree centigrade.

Calorific Value - Approx 10500 kcal/kg.

Green Oil density is around 0.89 to 0.91 gm/cc at 27 degree centigrade

Calorific Value - Approx 10500 kcal/kg.

The oil is equivalent to Furnace Oil which is used as industrial fuel in many industries.

Scope of the Green Oil-

Normally Steel Industries consumed 2000 litres of Furnace Oil.

Furnace Oil rates are around varies from 60 Rs/litre

Green Oil rates are always less than Furnace Oil and are around approx 54 to 56 Rs/litre

Calculation-

If manufacturer is using Furnace Oil. Daily consumption of oil- 2000 litres

Furnace Oil Rate- 60 Rs/litre

Input Fuel Cost- 2000*60 = 1,20,000 Rs.

If manufacturer is using Diesel Oil.

Daily consumption of oil- 2000 litres

Furnace Oil Rate- 68 Rs/litre

Input Fuel Cost- 2000*68 = 1,36,000 Rs.

If manufacturer is using Green Oil.Daily consumption of oil- 2000 litres

Furnace Oil Rate- 56 Rs/litre

Input Fuel Cost- 2000*56 = 1,12,000 Rs. {Per Day Save Amount 24,000Rs (Diesel) & 8,000Rs (Furnace)}

Total monthly saving - 24,000*25= 6,00,000 Rs (Diesel)

Total monthly saving 8,000*25 = 2,00,000 Rs (Furnace)

Total yearly saving - 24,000*300= 72,00,000 Rs. (Diesel)

Total yearly saving - 8,000*300= 24,00,000 Rs. (Furnace)

Hence many industry preferred using Green Oil instead of furnace oil, as it saves huge amount of input cost.

Applications of Green Oil-

Used in the industries where burning process is required.

1. Mostly consumed by Hot Mix plants

2. Steel Industries.

3. Rolling Mill Industries.

4. Chemical Industries.

5. Used in the Boilers for the heating purposes.

Potential Buyers-

1. Manufacturers of above mentioned industries.

2. Traders.

2. Carbon Black-

This carbon black is of lower quality as it has around 10% of ash content in it, as a result it is used in manufacturing lower grade quality products.

Carbon Rate- approx 10 to 14 Rs/kg.

Applications of carbon black-

1. Used in steel industries for burning process.

2. Used in footwear industries to make rubber souls.

3. Used in polish industries.

4. Used in ink industries.

5. Used in color industries as pigment.

6. Used by traders to mix with higher grade carbon.

7. Used in Iron industries.

Potential Buyers-

1. Manufacturers of above mentioned industries.

2. Traders.

3. Steel Wires-

These steel wires are easily sold to the steel scrap dealers.

Steel Wire Rate- approx 10 to 15 Rs/kg.

4. Heavy Oil-

This oil is of less quantity at around approx 50 to 100 litres.

Heavy oil Rate approx 9 to 24 Rs/litre

Rates depends on where you are selling-

1. Road Construction Industries rate would be approx. 10 Rs/kg.

2. Auto Garage rate would be approx. 9 to 12 Rs/litre.

You can also use this oil as a paste on wood so that wood can catch the fire fast. And as a result consumption of wood is

also decreased.
