Peter Burke Professional Background Peter Burke is passionate about providing personalized legal guidance and counsel to his clients. He graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History. During his undergraduate years, he was a member of Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon. Mr. Burke then pursued his law degree and graduated from Yale Law School in 1991. Whil e at Y ale, he was a member of the Y ale Law Journal. Mr. Burke has practiced his entire career in Birmingham, Ala., and is licensed in Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and New York. His practice focuses on ERISA Long Term Disability cases, consumer class action cases and personal injury cases. He is proud to be a member of the following organiza tions: the Birmingham Bar Association, the American Bar Associat ion (Fraud Section), the Alab ama State Bar, the State Bar of T exas and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. Since 2012, Mr . Burke has served on the Board of Directors for Work shop, INC., an organization that works with people with disabilities, helping them prepare for and find employment. The organization’ s consumers have a range of mental to physical disabilities and many also hav e multiple disabilities or dual diagnoses. Mr . Burke also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Autism Society from 2005-2008. Mr .
