mail• Adapting to teleworking • All fertilizer compliance staff working from home• 697 applications (337 new, 360 renewals) processed by Pre-Reg staff since “Stay at Home

Staffing-New to WSDA

Lenora Jones-Registration Specialist Fertilizers and Pesticides. Came to us from the WSU Pesticide Information Center OnLine

(PICOL) Lenora was the PICOL data base coordinator reviewing all WSU publications

containing pesticides through the Washington State Pest Management System. (WSPRS)

Lenora provided pesticide label interpretations on WSU policy and liability Lenora has worked for WSU extension for over 20 years

Lenora has a Master’s degree in Botany (WSU) Lenora is a long time Master Gardener.

2020 Fertilizer Registration Numbers

748 companies are registered with WSDA.9033 fertilizer products are registered with WSDA. This is a 23 product increase from 2019.

In 2020: registered 782 new fertilizer products. reviewed and approved 207 revised labels.

2020-2022 Renewal CycleJuly 1, 2020-June 30,2022

Timeline: 444 Renewals were sent out May 15. Due date was July 1.

October 1: 3475 products have been renewed for 360

companies 31 companies have voluntarily cancelled all

products 53 companies “Failed to Renew”. All products

have been cancelled by WSDA

WHAT IS TONNAGE? There shall be paid to the department for

all commercial fertilizers distributed in this state to nonregistrants or nonlicensees an inspection fee of fifteen cents per ton of lime and thirty cents per ton of all other commercial fertilizer distributed during the year beginning July 1st and ending June 30th
