1. Deposit and Final Payment:
A $300.00 deposit per person will be required at the t ime of
booking. Deposit is fully refundable unti l 100 days prior to
departure.
The remaining balance is due 100 days prior to departure.
If reservation is made less than 100 days prior to departure ,
full payment is due at t ime of booking.
If remaining balance of payment is not made within the above
-required period of t ime, JTB USA, Inc. reserves the right to
cancel re servations.
2. Cancellations and Changing Fees: (Please read very

Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges
from travel and hotel providers, and may include penalt ies and
fees incurred by canceling confirmed bookings.
Therefore, the following fees will apply:

Airlines flight HA 10 (5 h 25 min), meal served on flight. 4:25 PM
Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport. Claim your luggage and
wait for your tour escort to
check in for our flight to Lima. Enjoy a relaxing dinner on your
own until departure time. 9:30 PM Depart for Lima on LATAM Airlines
flight LA 2469 (8 h 20 min), meals served on flight. Day 2 Aug 13
(Fri) Los Angeles – Lima (D) 7:50 AM Arrive at Jorge Chávez
International Airport in Lima and proceed through immigration
procedures. Claim your baggage and wait for your tour guide.
Transfer to our Lima hotel, in the heart of the popular upscale
shopping district of Miraflores. Our hotel is directly connected to
a casino (passport required for entry). We’ve arranged early check
in so that you can take a rest after our early morning arrival. In
the evening enjoy a welcome group dinner with a dinner buffet and
dance show at La Dama Juana Restaurant.

Aug 14 (Sat) Lima (B, L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, then depart by chartered bus to visit
the modern and colonial parts of the city of Lima, known as The
City of Kings, starting with the districts of Miraflores and San
Isidro before heading to the historic center, a UNESCO World
Heritage site. Once there, we will visit the impressive Santo
Domingo Convent, home to Santa Rosa de Lima – the first saint in
the Americas and the patroness of the Philippines and the
indigenous peoples of Latin America. Then, we will walk to the
Plaza de Armas, where you can take pictures of the amazing colonial
architecture that surrounds it. Afterwards, we will go to Museo del
Pisco to taste the traditional Peruvian liquor. Upon leaving the
Historic Center, we will head towards the Larco Museum, which
houses the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private
collection. We will have lunch at Huaca Pucllana restaurant, which
is also an archaeological site – a ceremonial and administrative
center for the pre-Incan Lima Culture from the 5th century. Return
to hotel in the early afternoon with time for shopping in
Miraflores and dinner on your own. If you’re looking to try a taste
of Cuy (Guinea Pig) then this is your best chance, try the La
Tranquera restaurant, right across the street from our hotel!

transferred from the airport to our hotel in the Sacred Valley, and
then enjoy a buffet lunch at Muña Restaurante with its beautiful
gardens and then have a chance to relax before dinner at Sonesta
Posadas del Inca Yucay Hotel, a converted monastery in the heart of
the Sacred Valley, once the heart of the Incan Empire.

Day 5 Aug 16 (Mon) Valle Sagrado - Living the Authentic Sacred
Valley (B, L, D)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant, dinner at
hotel. This morning we will visit Chinchero, a small picturesque
Andean village and enter the home of a textile artisan, where you
will see some of his original work and learn about his techniques,
as well as his creative process. Then visit the local Inca ruins
dating from the end of the 15th Century, as well as a beautiful
traditional church, the Iglesia Colonial de Chinchero, built on the
ruins of an Incan palace. Afterwards we will stop at a viewpoint
for one of the best views of the Sacred Valley. Lunch will be
served at a local restaurant, then it is on to Ollantaytambo
(elevation 9,160 ft.), one of the most representative building
complexes of the Inca Empire and site of one of the Spanish
Conquistadors' rare defeats. Famous for its terraced fields,
Ollantaytambo was a fortress and also

a religious center. Then we will be transferred to Ollantaytambo
station to board our Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Upon
arrival we will be assisted and transferred to our hotel. ONBOARD
LUGGAGE POLICY
Only carry-on luggage can be taken on the train. We will pack
overnight bags for our overnight stay in Aguas Calientes. All other
luggage must be stored at our hotel in the Sacred Valley and will
be transferred to our hotel in Cuzco so that it is waiting for us
when we return to Cuzco tomorrow. Luggage not meeting the
measurements cannot be taken aboard. TYPE = 1 bag or backpack

(Tue) UNESCO World Heritage Machu Picchu (B, L, Box Meal)
After Buffet breakfast at hotel depart for sightseeing with
guide by shuttle bus to the Machu Picchu archaeological site
(elevation 7,972 ft.) for our guided tour of the ruins that make up
this New Seventh Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural
Heritage site. Please note that to reduce the use and waste of
plastic, when entering Machu Picchu ruins, you are not allowed to
carry single-use plastic water bottles. All water, soft drinks, or
similar, must be carried in a reusable water bottle or camelback
(backpack based hydration system). Failure to do so may result in
the confiscation of your water or the refusal of entry. There is
nowhere in the ruins to purchase water, and no bathrooms once we
are past the entrance. There is one toilet at the entrance (paid, 2
sole). You are not allowed to bring food into Machu Picchu.
Afterwards, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local
restaurant. Later, board our Vistadome train for the trip back to
Cusco. Box meal provided for our return trip on the train.

18 (Wed) Cusco – Capital of the Incan Empire (B, L, D) Buffet
breakfast at hotel, lunch at Pacha Papa restaurant.
Depart with guide by chartered bus to visit the city of Cusco
(elevation 11,152 ft.), also called the Imperial City, and a UNESCO
World Heritage site. Start at Koricancha temple, an ancient Inca
palace and center of worship of the sun god, then to the Main
Square, where you will visit the Cusco Cathedral, the most
important religious building in the city. The climb continues to
the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sacsayhuaman fortress, an
impressive example of Incan military architecture. Then on to
Kenko, an Incan temple where the sun, moon and stars were
worshipped. Next we will make a short stop at Puca-Pucara, which
may have been a lodging place for the Inca or a military
checkpoint. Finally, we will visit the Inka’s Expression native art
workshop. In the evening we will have a dinner and folklore show at
Tunupa Restaurant.

19 (Thu) Cusco – Puno, across the Altiplano (B, L, D) Buffet
breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant, dinner at our Puno
hotel. Depart with guide by chartered bus to Puno on the shores of
Lake Titicaca (elevation 12,507 ft.).
Enjoy the incredible view of the herds of alpaca and llamas
grazing on the highland as we drive across the Andean Plateau (the
Altiplano). We’ll stop at the Sistine Chapel of the Andes, the
church of San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas, the Incan Temple of
Wiracocha, the giver of all life, in Raqch’i, and pass through the
Abra La Raya Pass at 14,232 feet (higher than Mauna Kea!). *This
hotel does not provide free bottled water, for purchase only.

Aug 20 (Fri) Floating Islands of Uros and Isla Amantani – Lake
Titicaca (B, L, D) Buffet breakfast at hotel, lunch at local
restaurant, dinner at our hotel.
Today we will spend the day on Lake Titicaca, the highest
navigable lake in the world at an elevation of 12,507 feet. The
Inca believed that this was the birthplace of the sun and Manco
Capac and Mama Ocllo (the Adam and Eve of the Andes). First we’ll
cruise by speed boat to Amantani Island (elevation 13,331 ft.
Famous for farms built into its terraced hillsides, pre-Incan
peoples claimed that this island was a sacred place. It is home to
a small population of native Quechua speaking farmers. After lunch
we will visit the Floating Islands of Uros, where an entire
-
community lives on floating platforms made out of the native
totura reeds that can be up to twelve feet thick, living according
to the customs of their ancestors.

10 Aug 21 (Sat) Puno – Colca Canyon- Arequipa (B, L, D)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant, dinner at
our hotel. Depart from Puno - the first stop will be in Lagunillas
to marvel at the flight of different types of birds, among those
majestic Andean flamingos on the lagoon. Then continue to Patahuasi
- here we will be able to drink the mate de coca or muña teas that
have been used since the Incas. Our final destination is the the
city of Chivay (elevation 3,600 ft.), the main hub of the Colca
Canyon, and our hotel, which is a seven minute walk from Plaza de
Armas de Chivay and the main marketplace.

(Sun) Cruz del Cóndor – Condor’s Cross (B, L, D)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant, dinner at
our hotel. The day begins with a passage through Colca Canyon, one
of the deepest canyons in the world – more than twice the depth of
the Grand Canyon. Weather permitting we will be able to admire the
flight of the majestic Andean Condor, the largest flying bird in
the world, through the Cruz del Cóndor. Then we will visit Maca,
Achoma and Yanque, with its beautiful colonial Church of the
Immaculate Conception. In Chivay we will enjoy a delicious lunch of
local cuisine, then start on our way to Arequipa via Abra Patapampa
at 16,109 ft. above sea level, the highest elevation of our trip!
The pass is famous for views of the volcanoes, with unforgettable
views of Misti, Ampato, and Hualcahualca. Continue to Pampa
Cañahuas, in the National Reserve Salinas y Aguada Blanca. Once
there we may see some of the vicuñas - camelids that live in the
Andean highlands. During the trip we may get to see more vicuñas,
as well as llamas, alpacas and others. Finally, return to our hotel
in Arequipa (elevation 7,661 ft.).

23 (Mon) Arequipa – Santa Catalina Monestary – DEPARTURE DAY (B,
L)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant, dinner on
your own. Today we start our tour with a visit to the districts of
Carmen Alto and Yanahuara, with unbeatable views of the Misti,
Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes, as well as the city of
Arequipa. Then we go to the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena,
founded in 1580, with its cloisters, picturesque streets and
squares. Afterwards, walk towards the UNESCO World Heritage
historical center of Arequipa, stopping at the Main Square, a place
that is surrounded by the most representative constructions of the
city. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Zig Zag restaurant, located inside
a two-story colonial house with an iron stairway designed by
Gustave Eiffel, the architect of both the Eiffel Tower and the
Statue of Liberty. Transfer to Aeropuerto Internacional Rodríguez
Ballón for our flight to Lima.
