Class description: This class is for non-Chinese background learners who have no or limited

knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. After graduating from HSK3 level, our clients can

communicate about their daily, academic and professional life in Chinese and will also able

to easily communicate when travelling through China.

Program Level and Required Class Session:

• Perth Beijing Basic Mandarin Program [Initial level] consists of 4

language training sessions (prerequisite: nil)

• Perth Beijing Basic Mandarin Program [Beginner (HSK1) level]

consists of 24 language training sessions (prerequisite: Initial level or

equivalent study)

HSK Levels and Study Stages:

Students may choose to progress to HSK 2 Level after Two Study Stages if they feel

confident with the HSK 1 Level materials. This will usually mean they will put in extra hours

of study between classes. Others may feel that Three Study Stages is a more comfortable

option to embed the knowledge.

Where is my class held?

Classes are held at Level 1, 5/101 Francis Street, Northbridge.

Do you teach writing (Chinese literacy) as well as speaking?

Yes. Basic Mandarin Programs initially focus on developing your speaking skills (such as

pronunciation and useful words) and reading skills (sentences structure and basic grammar). After 20

sessions, we introduce Chinese literacy.

Do I receive a diploma or other certificates upon completion of the course? Our clients are able to obtain the internationally recognised Chinese language proficiency qualification (HSK Level 1/Level2/level3) after successful completion of the Basic Mandarin program. Perth Beijing School is an authorised testing centre for HSK exams. You will also receive a certificate of completion from Perth Beijing School after completion of the Basic Mandarin program.

The school’s cancellation policy strictly follows the general practices of the industry and Australian

When you can cancel a service

If you have a major problem with a service or a minor problem that can't be fixed within a reasonable time

you have the right to cancel a service contract, when it is:

• provided with an unacceptable level of care and skill

• unfit for the purpose you asked for

• not delivered within a reasonable time when there is no agreed end date.

Services you can’t cancel

You must pay for services you’ve received under a service contract that worked as expected.

You can’t cancel a service contract or get a refund if the problem was outside the control of the provider or if

you:

• changed your mind

• not able to attend classes due to change of personal circumstances

• insisted on having a service provided in a particular way, against the provider’s advice

• failed to clearly explain your needs to the provider
