• Rasulullah Saw bersabda “Perbanyaklah mengingat sesuatu yang melenyapkan semua kelezatan, yaitu kematian!” (HR. Tirmidzi).

• Dalam hadits lain seorang sahabat Rasulullah Saw dari kalangan Anshar berdiri dan bertanya: Siapakah Mukmin yang paling cerdas?. Beliau menjawab: “Orang yang paling banyak mengingat mati dan paling baik persiapannya untuk kehidupan setelah mati. Mereka itulah orang-orang yang cerdas.” (HR. Ibnu Majah,Thabrani).

• Rasulullah SAW pernah ditanya oleh para sahabat tentang siapa “orang-orang yang beruntung.” Maka Rasul menjawab, “Orang yang paling banyak ingat mati, paling baik dalam persiapan menyambut kematian. Merekalah orang-orang yang beruntung, dimana mereka pergi (meninggal) dengan membawa kemuliaan di dunia dan akhirat.” (HR. Ibnu Majah (4259)

• Utsman bin Affan ra. kemudian berkata : "Siapa yang dunia merupakan penjaranya maka kubur adalah sebagai syurganya! dan siapa yang dunia ini merupakan syurganya maka kubur merupakan penjaranya."

• Tidur berperan dalam pertumbuhan otot, tulang dan kulit, perbaikan luka dan menjaga agar tubuh tetap bugar. Selain itu, tidur juga mampu meningkatkan sistem imunitas tubuh yang memroduksi protein tertentu untuk merespon infeksi dan melawan penyakit.

• Suatu penelitian yang pernah dilakukan di Kanada mengungkapkan bahwa anak usia 3 tahun yang tidur siang lebih adaptif dibandingkan yang tidak tidur siang.

• Anak dengan IQ superior punya tidur lebih lama 30-40 menit dibanding rata-rata anak pada umur yang sama

IQ

• IQ merupakan singkatan dari Intelligent Quotient.

• Ukuran tingkat kecerdasaan seseorang• Bagaimana diukur?

• An intelligence quotient, or IQ, is a score derived from one of several standardized tests designed to assess intelligence.

• The abbreviation "IQ" comes from the German term Intelligenz-Quotient, originally coined by psychologist William Stern.

• When modern IQ tests are devised, the mean (average) score within an age group is set to 100 and the standard deviation (SD) almost always to 15, although this was not always so historically.[1]

• Thus, the intention is that approximately 95% of the population scores within two SDs of the mean, i.e. has an IQ between 70 and 130.

• For decades, practitioners' handbooks and textbooks on IQ testing have reported IQ declines with age after the beginning of adulthood.

• However, later researchers pointed out this phenomenon is related to the Flynn effect and is in part a cohort effect rather than a true aging effect.

• The phenomenon of rising raw score performance means – if test-takers are scored by a constant standard

scoring rule, IQ test scores have been rising at an average rate of around three IQ points per decade.

• This phenomenon was named the Flynn effect in the book The Bell Curve after James R. Flynn, the author who did the most to bring this phenomenon to the attention of psychologists.

• Outside of academic research and medicine, IQ testing is often done due to its ability to predict – future job performance, – social pathologies, or – academic achievement.

• Academic research has also examined these associations, as well as the effect of IQ on other social outcomes, such as income and wealth.

Social pathology

• Social pathology: – crack and heroin epidemics, – family violence, – out-of-wedlock births, – abortion as "just another option,– " alcoholic mothers having brain-damaged babies, – violent and uncontrollable schools, – constantly irresponsible and self-destructive behavior, endemic crime.

• Obama has seen that for twenty years in South Side Chicago, and it is well-established that social pathology is directly responsible for the failure of the "structurally poor" to rise out of their misery.

IQ dan Harapan

• "My son has an IQ of 210!" the proud mother would gush. "He's going to be a scientist."

• This attitude is a legacy of the early 20th century when psychologists devised tests to measure intelligence.

• These tests primarily measured intellectual or rational intelligence (used to solve logical problems). The higher the figure, the belief went, the greater the intelligence.

Manusia dan kemampuan

• Manusia adalah makhluk yang paling cerdas, dan Tuhan, melengkapi manusia dengan komponen kecerdasan yang paling kompleks.

• Sejumlah temuan para ahli mengarah pada fakta bahwa manusia adalah makhluk yang diciptakan paling unggul dan akan menjadi unggul asalkan bisa menggunakan keunggulannya.

• Kemampuan menggunakan keunggulan ini dikatakan oleh William W Hewitt, pengarang buku The Mind Power, sebagai faktor yang membedakan antara orang jenius dan orang yang tidak jenius di bidangnya.

Leonardo DaVinci: Kecerdasan

• Sayangnya, menurut Leonardo Da Vinci, kebanyakan manusia me-nganggur-kan kecerdasan itu. – Punya mata hanya untuk melihat tetapi tidak

untuk memperhatikan, – punya perasaan hanya untuk merasakan tetapi

tidak untuk menyadari, – punya telinga hanya untuk mendengar tetapi tidak

untuk mendengarkan dan seterusnya.

Siapa Leonardo DaVinci ?

• Leonardo DaVinci was – a great painter, – designer, – scientist, – futurist and – thinker. – He also had the gift of dyslexia.

(Developmental reading disorder, also called dyslexia, is a reading disability that occurs when the brain does not properly recognize and process certain symbols.)

IQ dan Fakta

• The American Psychological Association's report "Intelligence: Knowns and Unknowns" states that wherever it has been studied, children with high scores on tests of intelligence tend to learn more of what is taught in school than their lower-scoring peers.

• According to Frank Schmidt and John Hunter, "for hiring employees without previous experience in the job the most valid predictor of future performance is general mental ability.“

• The US military has minimum enlistment standards at about the IQ 85 level. There have been two experiments with lowering this to 80 but in both cases these men could not master soldiering well enough to justify their costs

• In his book The g Factor (1998), Arthur Jensen cited data which showed that, regardless of race, people with IQs between 70 and 90 have higher crime rates than people with IQs below or above this range, with the peak range being between 80 and 90.

• Charles Handy juga punya daftar kecerdasan yang lebih banyak, yaitu: – Kecerdasan Logika (menalar dan menghitung), – Kecerdasan Praktek (kemampuan mempraktekkan ide), – Kecerdasan Verbal (bahasa komunikasi), – Kecerdasan Musik, – Kecerdasan Intrapersonal (berhubungan ke dalam diri), – Kecerdasan Interpersonal (berhubungan ke luar diri dengan

orang lain) dan – Kecerdasan Spasial (Inside Organization: 1990)

• EQ - The soul’s (heart) ability to process information.

• SQ - The spirit’s ability to process information.

Profesi

• Profesi adalah pekerjaan yang membutuhkan pelatihan dan penguasaan terhadap suatu pengetahuan khusus. Suatu profesi biasanya memiliki asosiasi profesi, kode etik, serta proses sertifikasi dan lisensi yang khusus untuk bidang profesi tersebut.
