Filling up of vacancies and thereby granting promotion to employees is one of the most important activities, which is undertaken by the department. While filling up of vacancies is most essential in any Safety Organization, granting promotions provide incentive to the employees & thereby increase their efficiency & sense of commitment towards the Organization. To ensure both the above objectives, Selection Calendars have been prepared both for the Safety & Non-Safety Categories and they are closely monitored. All promotional quota vacancies in Safety categories are being filled up strictly as per the Selection calendar on priority basis. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS One of the most important functions of the department is maintaining cordial & peaceful industrial relation. This is ensured under the direct supervision of Sr.DPO. There is one recognized Union ECRKU affiliated to AIRF at the national level. There are 05 branches of ECRKU respectively all over the division. ECRKU has 3 branches at MGS, 01 branch at DOS & 01 branch at Gaya To ensure cordial industrial relations, both formal & informal methods are adopted. Efforts are made to deal with all grievances, represented through unions in a speedy & time bound manner. Any representation received is properly examined and duly replied. Apart from this, the administration discusses issues/policy matters put forward by the unions in PNM meetings held every alternate month with ECRKU. These meetings are chaired by DRM & coordinated by Sr.DPO who is the convener at the Division level. Issues pertaining to different departments are discussed in a threadbare manner in this formal forum with respective branch officers. The details PNM held since January 2012 is given below.
