Think of an interesting experience

Write an introduction that will hook your reader

Swimming with sharks I will never forget how I

felt the first time I saw the ocean. I was 10 or 11 and my father had planned a trip to see a herd of famous, wild ponies on a small island off the east coast of the United States.

Use Sensory details. Think about what you saw, heard and felt

But it was not those ponies that would capture my attention or my heart. It was the crashing waves and the driving wind that pelted my legs with sand. It was the smell and the taste of the air that I fell in love with on that island.

Write a conclusion that tells the importance of this experience and what you’ve learned from them.

We all know where we belong, whether we were raised there or not. We know. Some people belong in the mountains. They only feel really alive where the air is crisp and the trees are thick. Others belong in the desert. They delight in the dry heat, the midnight boom of cactus and the howl of a coyote. And then there are those of us who need to swim with sharks.
