Areas of application of the PerforMore

connecting batteries, inverters and elec-

tric motors

- Vehicles with fast-charging capability

(HPC)

such as trucks and buses

The tried and tested MULTILAM is built into

the Ø 10 mm contact system; depending

on the ambient temperature, it can trans-

fer continuous currents of 400 A or more

with minimal power loss. Additionally, the

MULTILAM is optimally suitable for the de-

manding requirements of the electric drive

train such as resistance to vibrations and

high operating temperatures.

As a long-standing partner of the automo-

bile and transportation industry, we under-

PerforMore – the e-mobility connector

from Stäubli

Electric and hybrid drives place demand-

ing requirements on the safety, reliability

and performance of connectors.

Stäubli has developed the PerforMore con-

nector with regard to the requirements for

high-voltage connections and connectors

in vehicles defined in LV 215. As a two-pole

angled version, it can be used with high-volt-

age batteries, inverters, and high-voltage

distribution units (HVDUs).

At the heart of our technology:

the MULTILAM

low height offers a clear advantage, allowing

more efficient use of the installation space

available in vehicles. The integration is quick

and easy to realize, the disassembly is safe

and user-friendly thanks to the two-stage

unlocking system.

The connector was designed for compact

dimensions, while maintaining all the clear-

ances and creepage distances required for

high operating voltages. The PerforMore

system was designed for use in different in-

terfaces along the drive train. In mated con-

dition more particularly, the PerforMore’s

HVIL with two-stage unlocking system

Time interval between disconnection of

HVIL and power contacts ensures:

- The high-voltage interlock loop (HVIL)

is interrupted at the first step of the

unlocking procedure

- The power contacts are disconnected

only at the second step of the unlock-

ing procedure
