The combination of extremely compactdimensions and powerful high speed readingcapabilities makes the VB6 scanner ideal fordemanding OEM applications. In fact, VB6miniaturization allows easy integration intoOEM equipment and automatic machinery. The high scan rate and sophisticated electro-nic design effectively addresses difficult rea-ding conditions.Availability of embedded ACB™ (AdvancedCode Builder) reconstruction SW algorithmallows consistent decoding of damaged ormis-applied labels (resulting in high tilt ang-les).VB6 installation and configuration is easyand simple thanks to compact size and to thenew test operating mode with bar-graph. Testmode is activated by means of a pushbuttonon the scanner (external PC not required)and the LED bargraph shows the readability. This feature increases the scanner ease ofinstallation and re-positioning during productchangeovers in automated machinery.VB6 operates at a speed up to 1200 scan/s,extending the application range also to highspeed document handling, paper inserting, label rewinding and packaging machines.Additionally, the scanner motor can be swit-ched ON and OFF via SW command. Thisfeature is useful in very low throughput appli-cation or when the machine sits idle for longperiods. A simple software command allowsa prompt restoration of full operation whenneeded.VB6, the best answer for reduced space andhigh performance integration barcode rea-ding needs.

The VB8-305 compact CCD scanner is theentry level solution for many OEM applicati-ons. Thanks to its unique combination oftechnical characteristics it is ideally suited forinstalltion in machinery and sets new stan-dards for the OEM sector. The VB8-305 excels through optimal readingcharacteristics. It can scan codes directly atthe read window due to its wide reading fieldand improved depth focus. Lightweight and compact the scanner alsoreduces the overall dimensions and weight ofa complete system. For cost-saving measures the immunityagainst external light (100000 Lux) and theexcellent reading characteristics are useful. In addition the VB8-305 minimizes the main-tenance costs, dependent on down-time,with a warranted 240,000 hours MTBF. The VB8-305 can be programmed throughsoftware commands via RS 232 or using theconfiguration software.
Optionally available is the 80° passive reflec-tor with lateral readings. It reduces the over-all space requirement and makes evencontact readings possible.

Function
The VB14N-600 is a line scanner for 1D bar-codes and offers a high reliability when rea-ding hard to detect 1D barcodes due to itshigh performance optics and the ACBreconstruction technology implemented.A function key and several LEDs on the bar-code scanner give support with parameteri-zation, teaching barcodes and testing. InLive-mode the LEDs give information on therespective read status. You have the option to network the VB14N-600 with up to 32 barcode scanners witheach other via a high speed connection. Thisenables a faster and more efficient data coll-ection, without the necessity of an externalmultiplexer.Simple parameterization using PC softwareis possible.

Function
The VB14N-*-R is a raster scanner for 1Dbarcodes. It grants high reliability when rea-ding difficult to detect 1D barcodes thanks toits high performance optics and the use ofACB reconstruction technology.A function key and multiple LEDs on the rea-der assist you in setting parameters, tea-ching in barcodes and performing tests. Inlive mode, the LEDs provide information onthe respective reading status. The VB14N-300-R can be networked with upto 32 readers among each other via a highspeed connection. This enables faster andmore efficient data acquisition without theneed for an external Multiplexer.Setting parameters is easy by means of PCsoftware.
